i didnt understand the whole jayz eminem debate for number one. no questions asked jayz deserved number 1 last year. blue print 3 was fucking huge. empire state of mind was played so much u got sick of it. but like i said that was LAST year. Although jay did remain a big figure in rap this year, no one can even argue with the fact that em had the biggest album this year, biggest singles, biggest sales, great collabs, everything. I'm happy that mtv pulled through n gave him number one but listening to their dumb ass debate about how jay deserved #1 just cuz he had a few hot features this year n how "on to the next one" was still hot this year but none of that should matter that was like i said LAST year. I thought this was the 2010 hottest mc list not 09 lmao. jay didnt even have an album out EM did. ...also i believe that drake deserved to be 3 over kanye. Yes kanye's more lyrically talented then drake but buzz wise this year drakes been huge as far as radio hits. up untill the past few month or so kanye's been torn apart by the media. o n B.O.B. most def. should of been ahead of waka flocka (i think its sad that waka flocka can even be on this list at all but hey it is wat it is)

edit: after reflecting on this year's music i think jeezy should replace waka. Lose my mind was just as big if not bigger then that lame ass "hard in da paint" song, at least in my area it was

there should be a requirement of the artist dropping an album in the calendar year (or very very late in the previous year). If Jay-Z took #1 without an album, it would have been even stupider than Em not being on the list last year.

And to the kid a couple posts above me, Kanye more lyrical than Drake? lol. I personally don't like Drake at all, and Kanye my 3rd favorite rapper in the game, but Drake a better lyricist... point blank. Kanye's music still better though 100%

Drake is like a more lyrical, less cocky, taller Lil Wayne. Without Wayne's flow or versatility.

It may sound crazy now, but unless Drake evolves his music (mainly subject matter and flow) no1 will care about him in a few years. Example: 50 Cent.
