Such a ridiculously great track.

It would blow everyone's socks off if he could perform that ridiculously fast part with no help live.

Rap God might debut in the top 5. It's projected to sell around 370 000. Amazing.

That's more than Berzerk and I don't think it was sent to radios.

Nope, it wasn't.

It's going to sell that much off of his name alone, has anyone actually done that before?

Also, this is all happening with him not even calling into Shade45 or any other radio station, no TV appearance...nothing.

Can't wait for him to actually do these things. Surely we'll get something before the album drops?

The two performances right before the release are going to help a lot.

Don't know what exactly you mean by it wasn't sent to radios, I guess you mean the label or whoever isn't pushing it for radio play? Either way I def. have heard it on the radio :y:

When a song gets sent to radio it means it's a single, when a radio plays it randomly they're just playing it because they feel like it.

Also, labels pay radio stations when a new single is out, they promote it that way so more people catch it on and start requesting it again and again and again.

Ok that's what I thought, yeah I know about them doin that stuff to get extra radio play soooooooo I guess in this case the station just played it cuz they wanted to, awesome. They also talked about the song after sayin he's one of the few real spitters left in the game and that he just showed us why he is who he is and something about him being around for 10+ years and still goin that hard. It was Power 106 btw.

Re: EMINEM - RAP GOD

Postby RSoares » Oct 18th, '13, 12:31

BusinessInsider wrote:Eminem released a new song "Rap God" and people are going crazy over it.

More specifically, people are raving about part of one verse where Slim Shady begins rapping at what he refers to as "supersonic speed."

The lyrics are really tough to make out.

Here they are below.

Via Rap Genius:

"Uh, sama lamaa duma lamaa you assuming I'm a human
What I gotta do to get it through to you I'm superhuman
Innovative and I'm made of rubber
So that anything you say is ricocheting off of me and it'll glue to you
I'm never stating, more than ever demonstrating
How to give a motherf---in' audience a feeling like it's levitating
Never fading, and I know the haters are forever waiting
For the day that they can say I fell off, they'd be celebrating
Cause I know the way to get 'em motivated
I make elevating music …"

What's so impressive is that Eminem spits these ten lines of lyrics — 97 words — in 15 seconds.

That means he's averaging six and a half words per second.

Insane.

Didn't see this before. 6.5/second, damn :worship:
