I'm pretty surprised no one has suggested "Rap God" may have been dropped as a result of Lord Jamar's comments on white rappers. Em being white, clearly showed how dominant he can be in Hip-Hop with this song and seeing as his name is Lord Jamar and Em, a white rapper, is claiming to be a rap god.
Not that I think there is any relation but it is pretty cool to consider, lol.

I mean it might have something to do with that but I think it was just planned to balance out Survival & they didn't even expect it'll pick up commercially too. They most likely wanted it go along with Em's first 2 singles & at the same time to cool off that too much pop on the album talk. It blew up like crazy & they reacted fast though... I mean this is just my theory of course.

I don't believe there's much of a connection, just a cool coincidence.

And you can't rap to this. Eminem's pauses and elongated rhymes are on another level. The easiest part to rap, tbh, is when he goes super hyper speed.

Heard the song today. I really like it. That third verse, it just never ends. Flow changes, fast rapping... The song is amazing. not sure what i think about the beat. And I will never be able to rap along this. Eminem is just amazing.
