As much as I hate Relapse in terms of music, there is no way it was a flop, in the commercial/charts/sales sense. Here is what I posted before...

* Relapse was a #1 album, and sold 610,000 copies in it's first week. (USA)
* Relapse reached #1 in 11 different countries.
* Relapse was the highest selling hip-hop album of 2009.
* Relapse has sold over 4.5 million copies worldwide.
* Relapse contained a #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100

It also contained another top 10 single (We Made You) and a further top 20 single (Beautiful - #17)

For most music artists in the world today....those achievements for an album would be considered fucking amazing.

Em has never sold a bad album. Encore and Relapse- not as good as his 3 previous albums, and still sold great for music sales in general, Recovery # 1, Relapse # 2, and I bet Encore sold a few mil, and did decently on the charts as well, I don't have the numbers in front of me though. Didn't The Re-Up do gold too? Fuck, that's pretty damn good for a mixtape/promotional album.

Encore sold 11 million worldwide in under a year lmfao. It was more successful than SSLP.

I'm not mad at Spacebound being the next single. Is it my favourite song from Recovery? No. Top 10 from Recovery? Maybe. But I know that the bitches, I mean women, love it. And I think it would make a very interesting video. I mean, I can't even picture in my mind what the video might look like. I just hope they don't make a lazy one like No Love and get Em to just rap over a mic with a simple backdrop. It needs to be a lot more creative. And I think it could do well, possibly even a #1 hit, who knows.

I'm bookmarking this thread so when another talk bout eminem selling out i'll reference to this thread where it sais jimmy lovine and interscope wanted an album that appeals to a wider rage of fan and not just hardcore em fans for more sales of albums

He sounds nothing like Lil Wayne. NOTHING. Where do you get this bullshit from? Get off the "I'm coolz cuz I sez Recovrie sux!!!" bandwagon.

He ridiculed popstars because he was being classified in the same category as them at the time so to separate himself he dissed them. Pink is like a female version of Eminem so it makes total sense. He even said he liked Pink back in 00-02 so -1 for that argument. For the last time, he collabed with Rihanna for a FUCKING REASON. And what about Recovery is soft? Taling about love is soft?
