Best possible case is that Em makes a really dope album, his best since Eminem Show, and adds to the legacy of Marshall Mathers LP. Worst case scenario, he makes a crappy album which is laughed at by the hip hop world, and one that will always come up even when people talk about how great MMLP was.
I think we'll get a good album, he's not dumb, he must think or know for a fact his new album is dope to call it MMLP2 (which I still don't like by the way, let the album stand on its own). But anyways, it won't be a classic, i highly doubt it. I got psyched big time when I saw the first commercials for it, thinking OH MY GOD, 2000 Eminem is coming back. Berzerk slowed my roll greatly though and reminded me "Hey, don't get your expectations too high, he's still not the same 26-27 year old guy he was during MMLP, he's still dope but he's 40 now and been through a lot".
I'm not going to lie, I'd be thrilled to see Em put it all together for an album, he hasn't done this since Eminem Show or the 8 Mile recordings, but I don't know if he can. Encore had some real good songs, his worst songs ever too. Relapse had some dope songs, but the notorious Relapse accent dragged the album down, I don't care what any Relapse stan on here says. And Recovery though his fire and delivery was there, was brought down b y too much Khalil/Boi-1Da style producing, too many girls on the chorus, and too much aggressive shouting when he had the chance.
Hell The Sequel came close, but it still wasn't quite up to par with his 2002 work. He was still yelling a lot, still had a couple weak produced tracks, but he did have some fire on that album that couldn't be denied. Welcome 2 Hell, Fast Lane, Loud Noises, Living Proof, even the girl chrous and shouting on Echo/Above the Law worked on this EP.
So hopefully he can put it all together, the delivery, content, production, and overall vibe, but I don't know. I still think we'll get another good album, he's never done something completely and utterly worthless, but it won't match his earlier work. He's not the same guy and won't make the same music like back then.
