Music Box is amazing. If TES Eminem was a horrorcore rapper, he would have made a song like that.

Yeah but most people on here went through a phase where that song was insanely overrated

1) Music Box
2) Stay Wide Awake
3) Buffalo Bill
4) 3 AM
5) Same Song & Dance

Music Box and Stay Wide Awake could trade places with each other, they're basically tied in my mind. While a few aspects of Buffalo Bill annoy me the verses and the beat are JUST :flutter: 3 a.m. has some great stuff too but the accent is a little grating to me on this one and I don't love the hook. A lot of people here seem to love SS&D and I'm cool with it but it's not my favorite.

and let it go until your brains are rippin out

Music Box is my favorite Em song of all time. Not saying it's objectively his best. It's just my opinion and my personal taste. Flow, voice, delivery, lyrics, beat, hook, every fucking thing on this song is GOAT and give me chills everytime I listen to it, even after 4786876824 listening. A true masterpiece. :flutter:

THIS. Exactly my thoughts. :worship:

Kim is #1 for sure. It's really messed up that I love that song. Everyone is forgetting about "Lady", that's a great obsessed/stalker song, too.

The whole song is metaphorical, especially the hook. He seems to be directly talking to a girl which could be his prey as a serial killer, his next victim.

Cause when the lights are off, I see the girl's asleep (My music box)

Double entendre. Em is metaphorically talking to the Music Box which basically stands for Rap Music aka his one and only true passion in life. And it's only when "the lights are off, and the girl's asleep" that Em can totally devote himself to his music/passion. (In this case, he's most likely taking about his daughter being happy, in peace; "asleep")

But I can hear you my love, you keep callin' me (My music box)
And when we're worlds apart, you mean the World to me (My music box)
If you call, I'll come, I will answer (My music box)

Meaning : Music is all he has, it's his whole life, when it plays, his life does make sense again. So whenever he feels the urge to rap (the call from the Music Box), he'll do it (he'll "answer")
Here, "my love" = music. Even when he's not doing it, he wants to.

So won’t you twirl around, and do a whirl for me (My music box)
And will you be my private little dancer? (My music box)

Once again, double entendre between the girl/prey and the Music Box. Meaning : "There's so many rapper out there, but I'd like to be the most special of all." (In other words, he wants the music world to treat him better than any other artist.) and if you take it litteraly, it's a little bit like SS&D. "Me slaughtering you is your last dance, girl"

This is my interpretation though, the song is very complex and mystical, that's what I love so much about it.

LOL

Look at this desperate, objectively socially impaired introvert making an implication through subtext that in contrast to the rest of you... he stands out as something special through the means of including tracks that the majority of you ''may have missed''.

Look at how he places the early version of ''Kim'' as #1.

Is it because he sees ''Bitch so wrong'' as #1?

Or, is it because he wants you all to know that HE is on a different level when it comes to the awareness of Eminem's discography?

He didn't post this because he wants you to know what his ''top 5 murder songs by eminem'' are.

He posted this because he wants you all to recognize that HE is aware of a lot of the lesser known stuff that a lot of you other wannabe fans may have missed... compared to him.

What makes it particularly disgusting is that he doesn't feel as if any of the subjective members of the userbase here will recognize & call him on his pathetic attempt to establish himself as ''more of a fan than thou.''

TL : DR - He didn't post this list to tell you guys what he believes to be the top #5 murder songs... He posted it to boast through subtext about his knowledge of Eminem's complete discography when placed in comparison to the rest of you wannabe stans.

^Yeah, I got that feeling too when reading his post. Just didn't wanna call him out on it.

@Drax, don't you think you're reading into it just a bit much?

Also, to the person who mentioned Lady, that song is more humorous and obsessive/controlling-ish.
There's a switch I flip emotions cut off, so cold I done froze my butt off
And this ain't even the tip of the iceberg yet, it's like squirtin' a squirt gun in the ocean - fuck off!

What is wrong with you ? :facepalm2 I just copied/pasted a playlist I made way earlier about murder, and the first version of Kim was the first on it, and there is NO particular order. It has nothing to do with my top 5 or whatever, this thread just reminded me of the playlist and I wanted to share it with you! It didn't come to my mind to remove the original version of Kim from this playlist before posting it here, so go hang yourself you faggot.

And I don't consider myself a bigger fan than you guys, some of you listen to him for way more years than I do. I'm still a new fan in comparison

I didn't make a top 5 because it would be exactly the same as most of the people here

Your life must be pathetically boring for you to write a big post about me trying to show off, while it was absolutely NOT what I meant to do. And you call me "disgusting ?"
Fuck you.

And I feel really sorry if any other person felt the same way about it :(
