Tash8 wrote:^ again ur a genius, according to almost everyone, (mtv even haha)!!!!

they gave eminem 3 classic albums, they gave nas 3 classic albums, you know what the difference was?

eminem had 3/4 classics (75%), nas 3/10 classics (30%)

get right homie, eminem is def more consistent than nas, only difference is at the present time, nas is more consistent.

And then I realized I was on an Eminem forum comparing him to other artists.

My apologies.

When you reply with "consistancy" you make yourself sound like an idiot, because this AUTOMATICALLY means we are considering all past albums as well, which fails every artist you listed. This is not about who has more albums, this is about who is consistent with good music. Nas my friend, is not. Never has been, and never will be.

Well let me rephrase myself, the artists I've listed put out better music at the moment? I can see how one would argue that it's too small of a sample size to compare Eminem to the artists I've listed, so I'll bite my tongue till Relapse comes out.

And Nas is not consistent? His past two releases > 90% of the 'commercial' releases in the past few years. I'm pretty sure you know which two albums I'm eluding to so no need to bring them up.

My first post was stating how people complain about how awful the song is, which to me is funny, since no one in the past year (commercial artists) has released a track nearly as catchy or fun to listen to.

Not everyone has their ears glued to the radio, in this day and age people actually look for quality music. Often by word of mouth, fair enough though.

Next time if you're going to make such an extreme statement, explain yourself better. I disagree that Nas has released better music, only because his latest album was a extraordinary statement of racism. I guess now we know that when a black guy is racist, it's not the same as when a white guy is. Nice to know what that cock sucker was thinking when he was collecting his checks from the Jews.

But, that's an opinion. I was just clearing up the whole consistency deal. Because Nas's album's have not been.

You're right, Nas doesn't embody the meaning of consistency, but he's far from inconsistent. For a dude that's been relevant since the age of 18 he's had a pretty illustrious career.

Illmatic
It Was Written
The Lost Tapes
Hip Hop is Dead
Untitled
The Firm (Appearances)

Slipped up on:

I am
Nastradamus (Grossly underrated imo)
Streets Disciple

He's had his up and downs but I guess that comes with the territory of putting out a classic on your first try (Illmatic, and has received a ton of unwarranted hate for it)

Untitled:

Queens get the money
Hero
Sly Fox
Slave and the Master
Fried Chicken
Project Roach
Black President

Mmm, Fried chicken, fly vixen
Give me heart disease but need you in my kitchen
You a bird, but you ain't a ki
Got wings but you can't fly away from me, driving in your
+Bucket+ seats all the way from +Kentucky+ to fuck with me
Look what you've done to me? Was number one to me!
After you shower, you and your gold medal flour
Then you rub on with hot oil for half an hour
You in your hot tub, I'm looking at you salivating
Dry you off, I got your paper towel waiting
Lay you down cause you're red hot
Louisiana style you make my head rot
Then I flock to the bed then, "Plop"
When we done, I need rest
Don't know a part of you that I love best
Your legs or your breast...
Missus Fried Chicken, you gon' be a nigga's death

Did the album have outlandishly stupid comments? Yes. Underlying racial tones? Yes. Still a great release imo. I guess it was my fault for skimming through your initial post.

Totally different playing field, but I dunno. I mean Maybe just ran up his ass like a short flight of stairs.

I think the song is better than anything he released after 2002. Slim Brady is back baby, and I have a gut feeling he is here to stay.
