I'll obviously buy it since it feels good to buy an album once in a while instead of downloading, specially if it's for Eminem. If it leaks a few days before I'll force myself to wait until I can buy it. If it leaks 1-2 weeks before then I'll have to download it out of desperation but I will buy it after. No matter if it's bad or not I am willing to pay for it.

The first Eminem album I bought was Encore since that was when I started listening to him and I really liked it. Soon realising the other albums were much better but I still really liked it so I my hopes are up for Relapse.

i got to say anyone buying out of blind faith is a fool and just as bad as the blinded fools buying lil wayne albums, buy on the quality of the music, if the artist aint puting in the quality that we expect we dont buy simple as that imo.

But Bar, not even a decade ago, people were buying completely based on faith because downloading wasn't as common. I wouldn't necessarily say it's blind faith because it's not like Em has put out a ton of shit. I mean, he has 3 really great albums and a number of other guest appearances, leaked songs, etc. that show off his skills. Sure, he's put out some not-so-good songs recently, and if you lost faith in him, then that's fine. Download the album first and then wait to see if you're gonna support.

I don't see anything wrong in someone buying Relapse without hearing it first. What's the fun in that anyway? (Which is why I'm going to try to actually listen to the CD version first, not a RAR file from Rapidshare. I miss those days when I would look through the booklet and production credits while the album played in the background ...) I guess it's kind of fucked if someone were to listen to Relapse first, decided that it was trash, and still went out and bought Relapse.

But if you're saying that the only right way to go about it is to download the album first, then buy it, then I completely disagree. That's just based on your morals, but the average person isn't gonna do that. You know how many times I said to myself I would buy an album, but then it leaked online, and even though I liked it, I never went out and bought it. Why the fuck would I do that when I already have it on my iPod and playing it in my car?

I agree with pretty much everything there. I'm gonna try my best not to download out of excitement too. But I guess for your last question, simply to complete the collection?

by blind faith i ment the people who say "even if its trash" or "even if it aint that good" im still buying it.

i bought untitled out of faith coz i listened to 3 leaked songs loved them, hadnt been let down by a nas album ever and i bought it without downloading wasnt disapointed at all, and yeh the suprise of not knowing is half the fun, but people buying even if it aint that good aint goin to help anything, it just shows these artists they will still sell without having to make a quality product.
