But Bar, not even a decade ago, people were buying completely based on faith because downloading wasn't as common. I wouldn't necessarily say it's blind faith because it's not like Em has put out a ton of shit. I mean, he has 3 really great albums and a number of other guest appearances, leaked songs, etc. that show off his skills. Sure, he's put out some not-so-good songs recently, and if you lost faith in him, then that's fine. Download the album first and then wait to see if you're gonna support.
I don't see anything wrong in someone buying Relapse without hearing it first. What's the fun in that anyway? (Which is why I'm going to try to actually listen to the CD version first, not a RAR file from Rapidshare. I miss those days when I would look through the booklet and production credits while the album played in the background...) I guess it's kind of fucked if someone were to listen to Relapse first, decided that it was trash, and still went out and bought Relapse.
But if you're saying that the only right way to go about it is to download the album first, then buy it, then I completely disagree. That's just based on your morals, but the average person isn't gonna do that. You know how many times I said to myself I would buy an album, but then it leaked online, and even though I liked it, I never went out and bought it. Why the fuck would I do that when I already have it on my iPod and playing it in my car?
