Actually it was in response to something you said.

You were saying how most of the songs are totally random and not part of the concept because they're not serial killer tracks. Point is, the concept isn't just being a serial killer. To think that's all it is, is wrong and a misunderstanding of the entire concept / theme itself.

So it was direct response to something you said you don't want to hear it because it contradicts your view. Thus, bigot.

^ Right... Because I've really defended "Just Lose It" or Encore so much before.

Trying to joke on the way I speak or break things down is one thing but pure exaggerating to the point of taking awful material and pretending I do that with everything is ridiculous.

Embase, they're random because there's not a full concept storyline in throughout the whole song, that must be hard to understand huh

Just Lose It is an excellent example of Em's subversive wit. It's just... so packed full of powerful irony. "It's cool if you let one go" lmao. The way he just, undercuts the entire facade. Just filled to the brim with awe-inspiring irony.

The Pee Wee Herman impersonations are caustic and acerbic in the way they challenge the status quo of society in general. It reminds me of Tyson in his prime, in a way. While many ignorant, closed-minded "critics" like to simply dismiss "Just Lose It" as a pile of shit, it's so much more than that. It's tongue-in-cheek, it's clever, it's layered. It's surreal.

The way he toys with various social conventions. The character play, the persona juggling, the incredibly dense ironical structure of it all. It's just sublime.

No the songs themselves aren't concept songs, I'm talking about the concept of the ALBUM. They all fit bar the personal shit with a theme of a conceptual ALBUM.

We're talking an album here with tracks that play a chapter into the whole concept, of course take individual tracks and say they don't do X therefore... But you could do that with any of his fucking albums.

Point is does it work as an album and it's yes. Must be hard to understand HUH, annoying fuck.

No. Even Eminem said it was trash. IMO it was worse than Encore.

As an album yes, in terms of multis, no.

An no Relapse will not be remembered as a classic album. It probably won't even be remembered at all. In 10 years no one will listen to it and it will be completely forgotten in Em's catalog. Such as Street's Disciple or The Dynasty: Roc La Familia.

Not always the case, sometimes an album can be so hated on that it becomes a cult classic, ICP built there whole career on that principle, lol

like in movies, a movie like "Attack of the Killer tomatos" is considered awful by 99% of the world, but that 1% who love it made it a cult classic......

Basically, the "So Bad its good" mentality

lol, yeah you're right in a way, but look at the fans, more than 70 % of them dislike relapse (even show hate on it ) , but they're right in one aspect, in order to call an album ''a classic" everything on it has to be perfect, relapse doesn't possess that ability of charming the ears of the music-listeners, it's great on its rap standards (multis, punchs, flows (theaccent)etc.. ), so it's not that good on the musical way...

I wouldn't say an entire album has to be 'perfect' for it to be a classic.

SSLP isn't 'perfect', neither is MMLP or TES. There are still one or two skippables or... Songs which aren't close to the pinnacle of most.

I just think the majority of it needs to have that feel, nearly all of it. Relapse certainly has that for me, musically it's so addictive. It's not just about the lyricism as if it doesn't work for the ears that's no good either. I think Relapse is musical and catchy as fuck.

That album has one of the best intro's of all time imo, some absolute gems on there, but I agree, Relapse will most fade into obscurity - aside from some Eminem fans I doubt anybody still listens to it, I haven't spun it since last June
