8 Mile (the movie) is somewhat overrated.

Not by the film community, but yes, like all other Eminem material it is overrated by a bunch of people whom we call stans.

I love the gritty urban atmosphere of it, it's a well directed film overall but nothing too special

Yes it is Em got the idea for it from a song called Pusherman by Curtis Mayfield. You should check that song out. It's really cool when you hear the similarities.

I like the "cohesion" on MMLP 2 for the most part

His wordplay on MMLP2 is dope. I thought lines like "Ironic cuz I'm getting so huge I need a shrink" smart and not out of place like most Recovery's punchlines.

Or when he uses word from the same lexical field like the baggage lines on Wicked Ways.

I've always had a soft spot for Beautiful. I remember walking quickly back to my dorm in college the day it leaked so I could hear it.
