Some days I chose one over the other, So...

The Em show=Recovery

Both are not classics. However, both are fantastic albums.

lol thats the fuckin truth, nobody from his old school fans(i consider my self one, started listening to him before 11 years) will put Recovery above TES or his other two albums, its really frustrating how many peope place Relapse or Recovery above TES and SSLP, pathetic.

Stop generalizing.

It is NOT pathetic to think Recovery is better than TES or SSLP. It would be if it was Encore but in this case it's a respectable statement.

Well, that's just down to personal preference. I personally like Relapse better than SSLP, but I still think TES is the best of his albums. It's not wrong to hold Recovery in such high regard at all. It's my personal second favorite album from him. I know it's not better than his first 3, but it all comes down to personal opinion and preference. So really, everyone else's opinion is irrelevant, people AREN'T wrong for liking an album better than another album

I'm not speaking specifically to you, I'm really speaking to everyone. So just keep that in mind :y:

I agree with you there, i understand some people prefer Relapse or Recovery from some of his first 3 albums, which is really srange to me,but everybody has there taste i guess. But the thing that gets me mad is that some people dont devide best from favourite. His first 3 spots are already reserved from TES, MMLP & SSLP the charting should start from the 4th place, if you know what i mean. It will be a blashemy to put something else up for his best 3 albums, but if we are talking about favourite everyboy can put whatever they want i really dont care.

Yeah, I mean, I totally agree, as far as his actual best albums go, his last three don't touch his first three at all. I'm one of the few who differentiates my personal favorite list from his actual best list

I'd put Relapse on par with the first three albums, they're all fucking awesome the only thing the newer albums dont have is the hype and controversy of his older work. Still recovery is my personal least favourite and Encore definitley is his weakest flow wise but its still a fucking great album.

Damn, I still remember the days when I didn't like Relapse, and after a couple dozen listens the album finally clicked with me and I fucking loved it for what it was. It felt good.

And regarding Recovery, I loved the album since the first listen. Now I'm pretty sure that I have listened to the whole album, ummm, literally a thousand times and it keeps getting better (some songs that I thought were merely good are now classics to me like On Fire and Cinderella Man), which speaks volumes to the quality of the material.

All together, maybe a good 20 times, if not more. Every night when I do to the restroom/shave/shower/sleep routine, I have it on.

And a little bit of paint thinner with my dinner too,
You better pay me for my bars like your rent is due,
Now hurry up and finish dude before I finish you."

Some idiots on this site, when they're asked "Best Em albums" or w.e, they might have Recovery above TES. It's quite sad.

Are you saying people can't even have a fucking opinion here??
Fuck off you little bitch.

Suck my fucking dick you little son of a bitch. You fucking internet thug. Come say that to my face I fucking guarantee I'll shatter your teeth. You cocksucking faggot.

For me it's the production, Recovery's not even in the same league as TES.

Because of the classics in TES.

-White America

These songs will NEVER be forgotten. They are classics. They will be forever imprinted in people's heads.

This is one of the things keeping me from putting Recovery above TES. (Besides TES being lyrically a little better.....or a lot.)

Also, I like the MMLP far more than TES. But if you were to do the same thing with the MMLP, you'd have

-Stan
-The Way I Am
-The Real Slim Shady

Again, I do think that the MMLP is better, at times, but I just find it hard to sometimes to place it above TES...or vice versa.

Of all the songs on on MMLP you picked those 3 ? wtf...

How about :

I picked the ones that most people (even non hip-hop fans) tend to remember...
Personal favorites from the MMLP would be in this order:
Kill You, Stan, Marshall Mathers, The Way I Am....all of them LOL
