He SOLD (out) his name / image / likeness and 'artistic baggage' to Lipton Brisk ice tea, for a period of time (30 seconds in ad time) to allow them to use it to leverage their product. Selling-out does not get much clearer than that man. He cheapened his name, selling-out = compromising your image, or integrity FOR money. That's why it's called SELLING-out.

He put a price-tag on his name. He lessened the name Eminem, by associating it with a random product, which he openly endorsed by default, for MONEYYY.

And ps. the "Love the Way You Lie" as selling-out is... I mean you got this shit totally backwards to be fair lmao. It's hilarious to me how you consider... a, realistic, brutal song about domestic violence with Rihanna on the chorus (THINK ABOUT WHY HE USED HER!!) - A very public victim, of domestic violence, one of the most famous in recent times...

The song is not compromised, in its execution or intent. Where as, Eminem - the rapper, actor, lyricist - randomly giving Lipton Brisk ice tea the power of all of that, for a chunk of change - is a compromise by default. It's whoring his name out, it's whoring out the Eminem brand.
