Em has five classic albums.

MMLP
Eminem Show
SSLP
Relapse/Refill
MMLP2

No.

Relapse is not a classic.

Yeah it is. Amazing production, great rhyming and flow. It's an amazing album. The rhyming on that album is so crisp, so smart and creative. It was such a risky album and worked great.

Production on Relapse was decent, his rhyme schemes were awesome and all...but what was so risky about the album? Besides the silly accents that prevented it from being a true spiritual successor to SSLP? There's nothing shocking about what EM did on Relapse. It was him trying to recapture the essence of SSLP..and in my opinion, falling a little short.

Six votes for "Nothing spectacular or less. Surprising to see that many on this site, even if it is a really small percent.

I'm actually with you here, it's a very good album. Not great.

Great albums have no weak songs, like Survival and The Monster.

Had he dropped Survival, The Monster, and possibly Asshole or Berzerk (Asshole still has them bars and Berzerk serves it's purpose), and thrown on Baby, Groundhog Day, and Desperation/Beautiful Pain/Wicked Ways, it would be an argument.
