Because I heard almost no praise for the amazing lyrical elements of Relapse and yet have heard a ton for MMLP2 when it's actually not THAT amazing for Eminem; it's very decent lyrically though.

Music receives so much more scrutiny than any other form of entertainment and I don't understand this at all. I think it's because the average person wants music only as background noise and is terrified at the idea of actually having to think about and process lyrics.
