Sure, but he wasn't risking anything significant to do this, let alone his career. He didn't spend any of his own money on Eminem's projects...that was the label. He already had plenty of his own money, too.
The Bass Brothers, on the other hand, were two poor producers from Detroit who were paying for Eminem's studio time out of their own pockets because they believed in him.
PS: I was wrong. They first heard Eminem in 1992. So they knew he was talented even when he was as young as 20 (an age at which most rappers suck unless you're Nas or Eminem).
Those are facts indeed & nobody even argues them.
Again... they could help Em (which they did) when he needed that kind of help but they could not (still can not) do anything more than that at some point.
They could pay Em's studio time but they were totally unknown, they didn't have any kind of connections, they could not give Em any kind of exposure etc. etc...
No doubt they have contributed but like I said they have their limitations.
Suing
Aftermath for pocket money for tracks they've made millions from 'cuz of Dre's expousure back in the day was absolutely ridiculous. Em turned his back on 'em for a reason... just think about it.
can u go one post without being COMPLETELY on dre's dick? srs question..
and it wasnt aftermath they sued, it was universal music group. its ridiculous to sue a company thats illegally witholding millions of profits that u are rightfully entitled to in the first place? k bro, lol...
Now that I'm gone, just carry on,
don't mourn,
Rejoice,
Everytime you read the words of my posts.
Just know that,
I'm looking down on you smiling,
And I didn't feel a thing,
So baby don't feel no pain,
Just smile back.
