It's more then reasonable -when you have lost faith in an artist- to download the album firsthand and afterwards make the decision if you're gonna buy it or not. If Em drops a dope album, I will buy a copy, heck maybe one extra for my brother. But aslong as I'm having doubt, I'm gonna download it first.

But Bar, not even a decade ago, people were buying completely based on faith because downloading wasn't as common. I wouldn't necessarily say it's blind faith because it's not like Em has put out a ton of shit. I mean, he has 3 really great albums and a number of other guest appearances, leaked songs, etc. that show off his skills. Sure, he's put out some not-so-good songs recently, and if you lost faith in him, then that's fine. Download the album first and then wait to see if you're gonna support.
I don't see anything wrong in someone buying Relapse without hearing it first. What's the fun in that anyway? (Which is why I'm going to try to actually listen to the CD version first, not a RAR file from Rapidshare. I miss those days when I would look through the booklet and production credits while the album played in the background...) I guess it's kind of fucked if someone were to listen to Relapse first, decided that it was trash, and still went out and bought Relapse.
But if you're saying that the only right way to go about it is to download the album first, then buy it, then I completely disagree. That's just based on your morals, but the average person isn't gonna do that. You know how many times I said to myself I would buy an album, but then it leaked online, and even though I liked it, I never went out and bought it. Why the fuck would I do that when I already have it on my iPod and playing it in my car?

Yes but why did you lose faith in Em' ? he is still a great MC ...
I know his last record wasn't really good but I think it's because some tracks got leaked as "we as americans " , " Love you more " ... it explain alot of things

Encore wasn't that promising to me, it had some good tracks, but overall it wasn't on the same level as his earlier albums. I guess that's why I lost faith in Em, I need to know for sure if it's worth it to spend money on an Em album... Plus it isn't like he needs the support..I would rather buy Padded room (which I still need to do..damn, waiting for paycheck). But I probably will end up buying Relapse, just 'cause I have faith in him resurecting my faith in him.

Why are you registred on an eminem forum if Eminem aren't one of your favourite rapper ?
1) This is a Shady/Aftermath forum.
2) We have plenty of members who dont even like Eminem but love hip hop. Why should they not be here?
