Why would anyone want to hear a depressed man cry on a song about losing his best pal so much? I don't understand

It just seems to personal in a way. I saw on the Koolo thread that people were bitching at everyone who didn't wanna hear it because "if he didn't want it to be heard, he wouldn't record it."

If he didn't want it heard, it wouldn't have been made or made available to leak. The song 'Christopher Reeves' for Encore was DESTROYED due to his death; Eminem didn't want it heard and guess what, it didn't leak. SOME leaks are for publicity.

Anyone trying to say it's sad/depressing/personal so it shouldn't or won't be liked is WRONG; Beautiful was sad and depressing and most people love it. Hailey's Song and Mockingbird were sad/depressing/personal, as was 'When I'm Gone', but those are fan-favorites.

Personal, intimacy, that's what sells and appeals. Eminem clearly knows that.

This song was destroyed.. but someone had to have made a copy years ago and indexed it on a computer where it was stolen by hackers. It was recorded in 2006 very shortly after Proof died. It's not a tribute song. It's more like writing a letter to your dead father, brother, mother, or best friend then having someone pull it out of the trash and put it on twitter then you tell you "Yo, that sucked." The song has zero replay value, the only emotion it evokes is pity and it being offered to the world could result in a very serious personal set back as he gets pushed back to a place he's gone through a hell of a lot to overcome. You don't know how he will personally react to it. There is a real reason why people who have heard it don't want it to leak. When this song leaks, the reaction will be one of disgust not at the song but at the person who leaked it and the fans that begged for it.
