This shit right here? Man, this shit right here?
This shit is a Jay-Z single. A Kanye West single. A 50 Cent single. A Drake single. A Kid Cudi single (definitely).
But, for a guy like Eminem? Slim Shady? I cannot imagine a song like this on the original MMLP nor can I imagine it on the sequel. This song has to be a joke, right?
If Eminem in 2000 was told to make a song like this for the sales on MMLP, I'm sure he would just quit. Just right there say, "Fuck you, Jimmy Iovine!" And leave the building.
The thing with this song...it's so conforming. It's like Eminem wasn't inspired to write this song and actually record it. Compare this to "Rap God" where Eminem is all in your face and his delivery is surging through your spinal cord as he spits the Columbine line UNCENSORED. It's fucking amazing compared to his shit.
The lyrics won't make up for the song because he's saying the same pointless shit he's BEEN saying: "My life sucks because of the fame I just want to be normal."
We already have an album full of those lyrics called THE EMINEM SHOW!
I feel like at this point Em just says "yes" to whatever bullshit single Jimmy needs to promote the album because he's so sick and tired of arguing with the maniac and feels that the album is going to come a bit faster if he gets these shitty singles out the way.
I can only hope that this is true, because, I can't picture Eminem in the studio enthusiastically rapping these lines.
3/10.

Tragic portrait of an artist tortured
Trapped in his own drawings
But in my head there’s a voice in the back and it hollas
After the track is demolished
I am your lack of a conscience
I’m your time that’s almost up that you haven’t acknowledged
Grab for some water but I’m that pill that’s too jagged to swallow
