He has always said whatever the fuck he wanted, put out any type/style of song he wanted, that to me is never selling out. He never did shit for the money or the fame, he never used his to take any advantage he wanted, or that's how I see it.
Selling out would be 50 Cent, who once his albums starting dropping in sales did everything else to make money. Was it smart, fuck yeah it was, but he came in it for the music and turned his back on it, that's a sell out in my book, not eminem.
I still don't understand how collabing with different people would be considered selling out anyway, it's not like he got on a song with wayne when he went nuts with songs and mixtapes in 06-08. Cause he has rhianna on a song that's selling out? Get the fuck outta here with this bullshit
50 was about the money since day one. He's just a business man who happens to make music.
I understand that Em's trying to do something different. But like I said.. Notice he's only collabing with people who are the radio allll dayyy longggg on this album.. Usually that's not the case.
He came back from his hiatus on Forever. Why? Because there were 3 of the most popular artists out on it, and it was a good way to gain back some of his publicity.
He made drop the world.. why? Because Wayne's albums are guaranteed to sell millions no matter how horrendous it turns out to be. I refuse to believe a guy with underground roots like Em actually believes Wayne is one of the greatest ever. That doesn't make any sense based on who we all know Em is.
It only makes sense that with features like Recovery has that he's just continuing that.
I could be very wrong, but based on facts presented up to this point, I can't see myself being wrong.
