What's this?

What 1st single that got change, what song you talking about?

I got Jim Jonsin and Alex Da Kid mixed up, but originally they revealed the first single as a song produced by Jim Jonsin on the press report or whatever. Then for some reason it got changed to Not Afraid.

Nah that was just a video of Jim Jonsin saying he worked with Em. And he said he worked on a song that was "strong" and "could be a single".

That was probably "Space Bound". Though I think he did work on others with Em, or at least one more that didn't make Recovery but Em made shit-loads.

But, Em said with Recovery he always knew "Not Afraid" was going to be the 1st single. It was a different situation where they knew from the start, he said.

I know that people claimed that it was the first single, like here for example, but they might've just assumed it was the single from the video. I can't find the original press release saying that, so I guess it was just from the Jim Jonsin interview.

Yeah, I don't think there was any truth to it being the 1st single.

I remember because I followed Recovery news inch by inch for my site and just in anticipation. Jim Jonsin just said what he worked on with Em was strong and could be "a" single, he also mentioned how he'd 'helped with some of the lyrics' to make them better for radio etc.

But in the interview with Angela Yee for "Not Afraid" Em said that he knew that song was the 1st single from the start and I think was one of the first songs he made. It was basically made to be the first single.

Yeah that makes sense then, the song was probably just Space Bound. I'm not the biggest fan of Not Afraid but it worked as a first single to draw sales in, so it makes sense.

Damn, I forgot!

It could be the first single of the new D12 album :o
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

"10 years" isn't a random number. 2001 came out in 1999, in other words ten years since the last Dre single. Do the math (or the polka).
Norway, blah, blah, murder, blah, blah, blood.

We're in 2010. And we were in 2000, ten years ago. not in 1999.

He maybe just said that to promote it like "yeah this gonna be the best shit eveeeeeeer !!"

^man don't hope too much, i think the chances for Em to put another "lose yourself, sing for the moment or till i collapse" are near 0 but.. we 'll see.
