Basically "this is for god and the gays" means "republicans and democrats, buy my album".

Although, to be fair, I don't think the statement was contradictory. There's plenty of religious people that are gay/support gay rights, and there's plenty of homophobic atheists.

It just annoys me how Gaga is ALWAYS talking about them. There's nothing wrong with her support for gay rights, but most celebrities support gay rights, but they don't talk about it every...single...second. I do get the impression that there's a hidden motive behind it, because most other artists talk about other things from time to time...
