For me personally I prefer SS&D. Déjà Vu is really good too, I hope it'll be 2nd.
But I think it will be vice versa (Déjà Vu #1, SSD #2)

Stay wide awake might win tho

If Déjà Vu doesn't win we should delete this thread and act like it never existed.

Beautiful.

PS. Just listening to 'Lapse again now... shit is definitely fucking classic (minus the flaws)... the actual material made for Relapse is definitely up there with his all-time shit for me.

Every fucking word and moment is just so spot-on; the rhymes, the flows, the music, the hooks, definitely got that everlasting classic vibe, I'm rapping the fuck out to it again, hella fun yo.

If Deja Vu wins that would be incredibly cliche...like if GTC won the Recovery game.

Most definitely. To think critics rated this album worse than Encore. :facepalm2

:facepalm

Eminem seems to be one of the only mainstream rappers they judge on his CONTENT though...

As in... well, take Yeezus... dumb as fuck content but they rate it genius due to execution...

The execution of Relapse is genius, not that the content is bad... but if you actually check the reviews, nobody was disputing the brilliance of the rapping, or often the music... they rate it badly due to Em's themes... which is weird, they don't often do that with anybody else...

Normally it's all about execution... which I think it should be; otherwise, the critic is essentially being a moral judge, as they aren't judging how well or not well he executed the theme of: psychopathy for example, they're rating it badly because they find it distasteful... not because the distastefulness was done badly :confusion: ; it was supposed to be distasteful... so it's a strange thing to rate the themes themselves as flaws, almost like rating a horror movie badly for having horror, even if the horror elements were done brilliantly... you found them scary so it's shit... well, that was kind of the point? Lmao. Most of the critics just wanted to hear his predictable Not-Afraid-shit.

Most people I've seen don't rate Relapse badly because of the content. Some people think rhyming for the sake of rhyming isn't necessarily brilliant, especially if it's devoid any other redeeming qualities (bar a few tracks).
I'm not tryin to be rude, but I sincerely wanna fuck the taste out of your mouth
