Aspirine, yes 2Pac had some emotional raps "Dear MAma" & Brenda`s Got A Baby". But so has Eminem, not just sad one like that part in "My Dad`s gone crazy" & "When I`m Gone", but, inspirational ones like "Lose Yourself", "Till I Collapse", "Sing For The Moment" & "Fight Music". Also powerful songs like "Mosh" & "White America", CRazy personal songs like "Kim" & "Bonnie & Clyde", amazing stories like the the latter 2 and "Stan". Amzin lyrical brilliance like "Bully" "Lose Yourself" & "Till I Collapse". Funny shit like "Hey Lady", "Without Me", "My Name Is" & "Fack". There`s just no one on Eminems level!!! End Of Fuckin Story!!
Fordie Hip Hop is Hip Hop - there is no way to determine it. Wat i said was DONT COMPARE. most of the people on this forum only think they know shit about hip hop, but there is just too much to learn, they are only saying he's best coz they are favouring him. U gotta find the best in every artist. I am a great fan of CL smooth and Pete Rock, but ill admit if some of there songs is wack, and if there are many artists at number one. As A TRUE HIP HOP FAN i have an obligation to judge subjectively, and try to teach others, the same that i was taught back in 1999, by another hip hop fan that gave me them ice cube and cypress hill tapes instead of the Eminems first CD.
Eminem is not a basis for hip hop, people gotta show respect to other artists that were pioneers in wat they were doing and NEVER TO OVERRATE UR OWN ARTIST - overating ur only ur own favourite artist only establishes the artist as an uncredible influence.
Ohh and by the way, tupac was wat?, 25 , wen he died? Wat exactly has eminem achieved up to the age of 25? Given time- 2pac could have become a figure much greater than eminem could have ever been. Tupac was about to make his own record label before death, and one of the first to be sighned would have been Big Daddy Kane.
