People should also keep in mind that MMLP2 is outselling ArtPop on iTunes. Gaga was only #1 for a day before Eminem over took her and that's significant considering this is her debut week. You'd expect her to at least hold onto the #1 for that week but she couldn't even for one day. She might edge him out slightly but I wouldn't be surprised if he actually ends up edging her out for #1.

I have read some archive numbers on UKmix last night, I just have to say believe it or not, a 70% drop is the standard drop for any artist these two years. Esp. this year. If Em sale figure reaches one platinum, (which should be next week or a week after) the album will be No.9 best selling album this year......and that’s only two or three weeks after its release. See the shitty music industry overall?? The top one manages to sell 2.3 million, the second comes to 1.29 million....the rest from 3 to 9 stuck in the 1 million range and basically have sold the same amount of copies....the 10th even fail to reach 1 million yet......Em can open huge, but that does not mean he can defy the industry norm. I know this is MM lp2, but the whole situation has changed and his singles cannot pick up his album so well this time....so donnot expect Recovery-esque longevity....

Singles represent an artist... I think people also don't realize that an artist as worldwide doesn't need singles to remind people to buy an album. When you hear Em's voice 99% of american's know who it is. It's not because of petty little radio play :P

Lady Gaga and Eminem are both on Interscope. It seems reasonable to assume that they wouldn't want Eminem to block her from #1 (both reaching #1 is for the label). That is to say, I suspect Interscope intentionally push really hard for Gaga this week, and keep the Eminem promo "relatively low". One must also realize that the market is in a really bad shape, in terms of album sales. In any case, I think Em will regain the #1 spot "next next" week.
