And these motherfuckers were calling it a poppy song before even hearing the thing. :facepalm Let this be a lesson to you that we should NEVER judge an Em album by the tracklist. That sounds dark as fuck.

I thought EmBase wrote that before seeing their name.

Naw, EmBase is disappointed right now and worried (Which is understandable). Whore To A Chainsaw has hope, as we all should.

Stop bitching you idiots. You guys have waited three years for a solo Em album to drop. Be grateful that you have one and just admire MMLP2 for what it is or just shut up about it, instead of flooding this forum with complaints.

Watch how your jaws drop when the Kendrick collab slays the whole nation.

whore to a chainsaw wrote:I find it utterly annoying to consume all of this predictable, verbal soup-ass... a result of the fingers of some of the most die-hard eminem fans in the world. (I would fucking hate to hear the majority of you play the piano.)

Anyone who is dismissing this album without hearing it IS ignorant. Not as my subjective opinion would indicate but as an objective fact.

That being said, I completely understand those that feel slightly worried due to what has been revealed about the album thus far. Eminem walked into this one himself when he chose to name the album after the artistic masterpiece that is The Marshall Mathers LP, however, the man (granted his mind isn't adulterated from some sort of benzodiazepine haze) clearly knows what he is doing.

He CLEARLY knows what he is doing.

I want you guys to think about the second verse from "berzerk."

This is what was intended to be the first taste of the album. He's rapping about "showing up in his nike shoes" "His coat fresher than wet paint" and then he gives some sort of meta-verbal representation of these mundane, cliche and shitty rap lyrics not registering in his mind with the "Bow chicka wow wow" lines and then clearly tells us "Dumb it down... I don't know how." "At least I know that I don't know, question is are you bozo's smart enough to feel stupid? Hope so."

Again on survival... when he says "I want you to doubt me, I don't want you to believe... because this is something I MUST do to succeed" there is a 1/4 flash to the dresden house from the end. Not even long enough for it to register in the human mind but it is what I believe to be a a method of subliminally putting the image of MMLP2 in the minds of those watching so they may link those lyrics in their heads to the overall product & how they may apply when considering we're getting as a whole.

Go back and think about those berzerk lyrics though... from verse 2. WHY WOULD HE SAY THAT IF IT WERENT TO DO EXACTLY WHAT ANOTHER USER SUGGESTED HERE WHEN THE SONG DROPPED? There is literally nothing else that he could be saying with that verse other than "You are going to be blown away. I am going to make sure you feel retarded when you are blown away."

Really think about it and try to determine what you believe.

1. That this means absolutely nothing.
2. That this means he's purposely setting the "bar low" (as referenced in the third verse of berzerk) so we will all feel stupid when the real album comes out. What could we possibly be feeling stupid about based on what we have to base our opinions on? Thinking ANY of this negative stuff about the album based on what he's giving us now before we actually hear it and are blown away.

I know it's been referenced but really think about it. This IS what is happening here. There is no other explanation. I like Survival but I see the point and the issue you all have with it being on the main tracklist. It doesn't stand up against the tracks on MMLP and not just from a "style" standpoint... but from overall objective quality. None-the-less, I would say if it were placed on Recovery it would be a top 5 song... but could you imagine if the first line in "Legacy" implied subtext of something along the lines of "I fucking told you so, retards." (I'm an adapter line)

I think this album is going to be sick.

I also genuinely believe that he has been in post acute withdrawal from benzodiazepines (which causes major brain fog and disables most people for years... explaining his recluse-like behavior. I think it has more to it than simply his level of fame.) This takes YEARS to recover from after long term benzo use (I'm suffering from it myself. Even as I write this, I'm having a very hard time verbalizing my thoughts.) and the art of rap itself... that has got to be THE hardest thing that someone could keep up with as a profession while in benzo recovery (which seriously does take years. Check out the wikipedia page for "long term benzo use" or "post acute withdrawal from benzodiazepines".

What that means is when he released relapse and even recovery... his brain WASN'T operating at 100%. it couldn't have been. As more time passes, his mind will keep healing and right around now I could see it being about as close to perfect as it will ever be.

Eminem cares greatly about blowing people away. He's got something up his sleeve.

I still think he's been doing this shit his whole career and to this day no one has picked up on a lot of the stuff. (his verse on no love dissing wayne the whole time and saying he sucks without HAVING to diss him.)

No... something massive is coming. This will not be "meh". There is no way Eminem would let it be "meh" and even an amazing CD like relapse/recovery would be "meh" if titled MMLP2 in the minds of most people. He knows this. He has never put out something (not to be redundant) "meh" except while fucked up on downers with Encore... and only on a couple of songs but that's not the point.

This will be something HUGE. You heard it here first.

But Recovery is meh

First off, I didn't say Tech would outshine Em. However, Em seems to have dodged him and Nas for a while now. The excuse for not doing the daughters song with Nas is pitiful.

Firstly, I highly doubt Interscope would allow Em to work with such an underground artist. Secondly, scheduling conflicts. Thirdly, Tech is HORRIBLE when planning features. And I am honestly glad he didn't make as ong about his daughter for the fiftieth time, especially on a track with NAS. Do you honestly want the long-awaited collab between legends to be about their daughters?

Kendrick is a good collab so I dunno why you're trying to use that to justify working with a glorified boyband member, Rihanna (again) and Skyler Grey who wouldn't be so bad if every song was produced by Alex Da Kid. If you've brought up Tyler because Em toured with him then yes, I'm well aware of that. I was at the Glasgow concert six weeks ago Kendrick, Tyler and Yelawolf all opened for Em. Touring with Tyler has no relevance to this album.

Oh please, stop being such a fucking idiot. Singers from poppy bands don't immediately equal shit. Guess what? I like a fucking hook with a goddamn melody sung by someone who does it for a fucking LIVING and is actually GOOD AT IT. I don't want another garbage "Beautiful" hook.

As I've said, I'll buy this album purely out of loyalty to Em however the man seems well out of touch with what The Marshall Mathers LP name means to his core fans. The MMLP is anti-pop, anti-establishment and rebellious. Not something you'd associate with the COD franchise, the Fun singer and a skank who seems to think she's edgy because she posts pictures of joints on Instagram.

No, you idiot. Eminem is fully aware of what MMLP means. He's the one who MADE IT. MMLP is not anti-pop, anti-establishment, or rebellious. That's not the true meaning of it. If it was, I'd find it immature and fucking childish. MMLP is HONEST. It is the pure rage of one man focused onto multiple songs. No filters, nothing. There's no message about it, no moral, no theme. THAT'S why it's good. And if you can't understand that shit, get the FUCK out.

Em is more concerned with appeasing his growing pre-pubescent girl fanbase rather than the fans who stood by him and made him into the mega success he is now.

Because mocking a dead celebrity and imitating him as well as rapping about waving a chainsaw around killing people is totally appeasing the pre-pubsecent girl fanbase.
Your last line is just bizarre, and poorly worded. Telling people with a different opinion to fuck off the forum. Last time I checked that is what a forum is for.

Bizarre and poorly worded because this is honestly the first time I've been pissed on this forum. I despise ignorance and uppity little shits like you who think they understand everything when they really fucking don't. And before you accuse me of being arrogant, I don't either. At least I know it.

YES.

This is EXACTLY why it's amazing, he didn't give a FUCK and he meant it. He was pissed off at everything due to the criticism he got at the time. Considering he's been getting criticized since he came back and even more so since Recovery, it's understandable to see why he'd go with MMLP2.

Still, people acting like they KNOW what MMLP2 should sound like. You fucking idiots, only Eminem can know what MMLP2 is supposed to sound like. This album will obviously be dark, it's so obvious. You fucking morons can bitch when you hear the music, but don't bitch a second before you do.

I agree with the point that was made where I'd rather have a GOOD singer on the hook instead of Eminem pretending that he can sing.
