Ok now that recovery is out and over with

Postby Wreck » Dec 1st, '10, 08:01

I loved the album, lyricism on it, his flow, etc...

But I think now, (I would really love if) he should go back to the flow & voice(s) from SSLP. First I realize he changed his voice because of the scratchy SSEP, SSLP voice on their. But I think it made him who he was, got his on the map and he became a critically acclaimed hip hop star because of it.

I realize great songs like Beautiful, Love The Way You Lie, Stan, Sing For The Moment, etc. were made when he changed his voice to the more layered out voice he has used for the last couple of albums, but I think that he has made great records, he could go back to the way he started out, it would make great records for him. Maybe if him and Royce do the BME album that could happen.

What do you think about this?

so you're saying you think he will go back to his SSLP voice then? or the opposite.

It's technically impossible for him to go back to the SSLP voice. If what you mean is a more relaxed tone of voice, then it's plausible, but I think we'll have screaming Em for a couple of songs more.

His next style is likely going to be like his Forever voice. God, I hope so.

One thing really interesting about Eminem is that he is always experimenting with different styles of flow and delivery with all of his eras. One thing Tupac didn't have.

It's always keeping me interested in what he's going to do next.
Funny how you kids want him to go back to his old styles, when it should really be about progressing instead of trying to revisit antiquated tactics.

Real smart marketing.

Okay, just wondering since you're reffering to "kids".

I'm referring to kids who love anything Em puts out, I don't care how old you are. You're a kid. I call them kids because they blindly follow Eminem like a child following someone who has a lollipop in their hand.

If you genuinely like it, then cool but if you only like it cuz it's Eminem, I think that's going overboard wit the idol worship. I think people should be independent and take pride in their own life instead of another man's.

Without saying any names...I've seen a lot of mindless drones on this forum that only love Em's recent shit just because it's Eminem.

Dude, seriously, whats up with the "Eminem Stan" hate? Coz, if i want to idol worship- thats me!! its not like i'm cutting my wrists or driving over a bridge or something. Eg, in Football, soccer, tennis etc- people pick and support a team. Even when its terrible. Its normal.

I'd preffer if he goes back to TES style, but that seems onlikely.
Eminem said it himself, that he had to relearn our to rap,and came up with this current style of rapping which i think he will stick to.
That does not mean he won't rap on some songs like old times, but this is basically his new way of rapping now.
We all have to get use to it.and appreciate it as it is.

how on earth could he go back to his SSLP voice? that was more than 10 years ago, his voice has changed since than, he's not some kind of god, stop asking for impossible things from him.

and I don't even want to repeat "He has changed" in every thread on this forum anymore cuz some people just don't want to accept that fact and still hoping that somehow one day he will magically reverse back to what he was 10 years ago.
