Now that this EP is out...

Postby xxTrigger1989xx » Mar 1st, '11, 17:49

...would you have wanted King Mathers to come out? I think we have a fairly good idea of what it was gonna sound like, so judging from these tracks, would you have wanted this album? And, would you take it over Relapse or Recovery?

I would have liked it to come out probably back then, because I wanted this album to come out. But, this would probably mean we wouldn't get Relapse or Recovery, so ultimately I'm glad it didn't come out. I'd like to hear King Mathers in it's entirety, still, but not officially released as an album. Maybe after he dies we'll get some unreleased KM and Relapse 2 material, those two being the only albums he's completely scrapped.

So, would you have liked it to come out and would you take it over Relapse/Recovery?

Okay, I was hoping this would turn into more of a discussion than "fuck no."

I wouldn't either, and I agree, but taking it over Relapse/Recovery isn't the only question. Unless "fuck no" answers both questions.

I doubt we would've gotten Relapse if King Mathers had come out. Things would go in a different direction, if you get what I'm saying.

And no, I don't prefer this "EP" over Relapse or Recovery.

Yeah, I think had this album come out, he would have retired shortly after.

How many times does one have to say to you stans that King Mathers was a fictional album and it was only the hopes and dreams of a rapper by the name of Cashis? So let it go fools, Em never declared that album even was supposed to exist.

With stuff like the apple,my darling, beautiful,GOAT,careful what you wish for,Difficult ya i would of wanted to hear it assuming those tracks would of been even on it.It would of been received by people better than Relapse i would still prefer Relapse though

People hear a track from 07 and its automatically assumed to be on the King Mathers tracklist which is bollocks. They her a track with an accent and its automatically assumed to be on the Relapse 2 tracklist, again bolocks

^Its been real was an outro for some album lets just codename it King Mathers

Lol, I'm not saying that I would take KM over Relapse/Recovery. Relapse and Recovery are both leagues beyond what King Mathers would have been. I wouldn't take it over them, but I'm still interested in hearing the rest of KM. God no, I'd be a fucking retard if I would choose this EP material over Relapse and Recovery. I know there are some people lurking on this forum that don't like Relapse or Recovery, so I'm waiting for these people to pop up and say so. I personally love both of them, and I'm glad King Mathers never came out because we wouldn't have gotten another album after it. This thread is just for discussion's sake. I'd still like to hear more of KM though, especially if a lot of it is in the same vain as The Apple.

Re: Now that this EP is out...

Postby walend » Mar 1st, '11, 18:52

i'm very glad the tracks leaked (cause i can never heve enough Eminem material, but i'm also happy this album never came out.

he was really serious about quitting... hearing this songs changes my view on eminem.... they let me have even more respect....

he made an album (king mathers)about how sick he is of the rap game, but he or dre or the label (who kjnows) scrapped it....

he got clean, wich is a serious job to do...
he made like 2-3 cd's (relapse 1 & 2 and more songs)
but his fans don't like it because the accent & the things he rapped about.
and now he comes with a total new (very good ) cd.... deserves much, much, much, very much respect in my eyes

and actually i'm enjoy the new leaks, i like the beats he used and the voice in that period...
but thats diffrent for person to person

so final conclusion "i'm glad it didn't came out.... but let the leaks commin !!!!" hehehehe
