Unoffical King Mather's Track List/Where's this track fall?

Postby seatownclown » Mar 2nd, '11, 09:08

I know there has been a lot of similar posts to this but I wanted to kinda create the most accurate one with the contribution of all the members here. From what I can gather this is the most accurate to my knowledge. Let me know or post another track that inst on here or tell me if something should be somewhere else. Its my take that we have heard most of kings mathers. My goal is to make sense of where these leaks would fall and what was actually intended for king mathers.

Wasn't Wee Wee recorded in 2008? I thought he recorded it during the Relapse sessions?

"Cocaine" is NOT a Relapse 2 cut.

Just because the person that leaked it speculated that it was doesn't make it so.

If it's not produced by Dre (or Em) and of that style, it's NOT a Relapse sessions track. Simple as that. Even if it came in a transition period, or when he was still going to use the title, it stopped being Relapse 2 when he changed direction.

"Cocaine" = Recovery.

He hardly took shots at them. He pointed out some of the flaws hindering their success but didn't call them bad. He again called Bubba dope.

Just because some stan on a eminem message board says its for recovery because it wasnt produced by dre doesn't make it so.

I don't understand why people think My Darling was for King Mathers/the album he was working on in his drugged up state when it was clearly about him battling his inner demon and Dre himself says "It just seems ever since you got off your drugs you became a lot softer". Why would he say that when he was in his drug period lol? His rhyming was also a lot better than any of the stuff from his drug era.

Agreed. That's exactly what I logged in to say. My Darling was intended for Relapse. It's about Eminem fighting his inner demon (Slim Shady) and understanding that he and and Shady are one person. It shows growth and maturity, something Eminem lacked during his drug era. I highly doubt this was intended for King Mathers and would have been a great #2 track to follow Dr. West, especially with the whole 'Marshall, My Darling' pill voice at the end of the skit. This was definitely intended to be on Relapse.

I also believe Careful What You Wish For was recorded during the Relapse sessions. From the quality and message it just seems like it was intended to be part of the album at one point but was later decided to be a bonus track. Kind of like My Darling. Both were 2 really good tracks but for some reason weren't included on the album.

I also believe Things Get Worse was made when Em worked with BoB and wasn't even intended for an album. I doubt Eminem would put BoB on his album so if it was for any album it would have been for BoB's. It was just recorded when they worked together and was a left over since it was never used.

I also doubt Difficult was intended for King Mathers as well. It seems like something Eminem just decided to record one day to cope with his loss; hence the sad, melancholy tone. I'm glad this album never came out actually. Tracks with stupid concepts like Ballin Uncontrollably highlight what the undertone of the album would have been. No emotional or underlying message like previous albums aside from Encore. Glad King Mathers was scrapped.

Cocaine sounds like the earliest version of 25 to Life which would makes me believe it was intended for Recovery. Same with Fly Away (Just Blaze session = Recovery).

Wee Wee and Oh No are 2 obvious Relapse sessions. I think that goes without saying.

Eminem said he wrote the first verse and a half for Beautiful in 2005 before he went through the whole over dose thing. Doesn't mean it was intended for King Mathers but is plausible to presume.

I'm sure artists record songs at random times when they get a good idea or something. Something I think you guys aren't understanding is that not every song an artist records is intentioned to be on an album. Songs are left over all the time.. some get trashed and never see the light of day. Artists also just record for shits and giggles sometimes.

It's Been Real was obviously intended to be an Outro for an album or a mixtape or something like that.

GOAT was probably the only track out of the Straight From the Vault that I would say had direct intention to be on an album. I'm willing to put my money on saying it was intended for King Mathers. Just because the whole concept of GOAT fits the whole 'King Mathers' theme. Same with Ballin' Uncontrollably. And I doubt Get Money would ever be on an album. That was just a dope beat Em wanted to spit on. No intentions to be released.

Going Crazy was probably just a left over or a fool around track. Possible intentions for an album in my opinion. But it's clear that none of the D12 leaks were good enough to make the album cut. I'm sure Eminem has recorded a lot of songs with D12 since D12 World. Same with 50, Banks, Dre and multiple other artists. This one just happened to leak.

Detroit Basketball flows great after Ballin Uncontrollably.

I'm serious, the beats of both have really grown on me.
