Is Eminem your favourite music artist of all time?

So with that in mind, is Eminem your favourite music artist of all time?

If NO, where abouts would he be in your rankings, and who IS your fav artist/band of all time?

No that's Michael Jackson as far as the music goes. Pretty much all of his songs before 2000 are perfect.

As far as Em goes....ugh I don't know...I guess Top 5 if not Top 3.

I think that most people who sign up to an Eminem forum are really into his music and generally also into Hip Hop.
There are a great deal of people who listen to Rock for example, but also enjoy Eminem as opposed to other Hip Hop artists. But I don't think that these people join TRShady.

So most people's answer will be either Eminem or some other rapper. A few people might name Michael Jackson or other pop music legends.

Yes, he is. Why? Don't know, it's something that he's so all-around great, all aspects of his music captivate you. And he has so many amazing songs that you never get bored. I have never experienced that with any other artist. Even just Eminem NOW (let's say 2009-2011) would be high on my list in fact even though he's nowhere near his best.

Oh yeah, for the people who are saying "yes", did you grow up with Eminem's music and was he one of the first artists you listened to?

Yes.

On a personal level, he opened my eyes to rap. I used to think it was annoying and repetitive because of the stereotypes that exploded in what I like to call "the shit era". When I heard Eminem, I learned there was alot more to it. There was meaning, there was emotion, there was story telling. When I heard his songs, I related to it and was like "Wow, this guy is preaching my life right to me". He's the first musician that, when I listened, it made me think about my life.

As a technical rapper, he basically taught me lyricism. First, it was because he just said some funny ass, shocking shit that made me go like "Wow". But I always knew there was something about his rhyming that made him better than other rappers, and then I started to notice that unlike the other shitheads I heard on the radio, he rhymed more than one syllable at the end of each rhyme. I was BLOWN AWAY by Sing For The Moment. There's alot of rappers that have multis out the ass, but I still haven't found one that uses them like Eminem did. Not to mention the emotion and melody he puts in his music. He was close to the perfect rapper in his prime. He wrote so many flawless songs, he's a genius.

I don't listen to him so much anymore because I've discovered other rappers and I've pretty much played the fuck out of his discography, but he'll always be my favorite artist in any genre.

No. However, I really don't know who my favourite musician of all time would be... Sting, Fairuz (Arabic singer), Bob Marley, Brian Adams, and Nas are probably tied for number one in my list. It's really hard to pin-point my all time favourite music artist, I grew up on a lot of different music, it would be difficult for me to choose just one. But, if I would've made a top 10, Eminem would probably be in it.

Yeah, Eminem is my favorite of all time. Why? Because I just love his music. I can listen to him when I'm sad, mad, happy, whatever mood. No matter what his music has always been there for me. From the time I first heard him, when I was 12, up until now his music has played a huge role in my life. He also made me realize that its okay to just be myself and if other people don't like it, fuck them. He is my favorite out of all the other bands and artists I listen to. I listen to all types of music but Em is and always will be my favorite.

I use to steal my brother sslp when i was like 8 and bumped that shit hard. I didnt know what vikaden was or wtf mushrooms were. When i first herd my name is i thought it was a joke but the song that really got me was rock bottom. now 10+ years later I can full appreciate everything this man has done. Ofcourse he's my favorite, im a stan.

Best story teller of rap, best battler in rap as well. The was he crush Ja and benzino will never be done again. Always has a sick delivery and flow to go with it. Always keepin' it fresh from album to album, never sounds the same. Thats what makes him so great.
