Has Em made a single song, Recovery and on, W/O wordplay?

Postby FreeSpeech » Mar 4th, '11, 21:55

I'm pretty sure every single song he's done, after and including recovery, has had his stupid wordplay in it. He did it maybe a dozen times prior, and every single line was golden. Example:

You lay down on a stretcher
Don't get carried away now!

Hiliarious, golden Eminem. The last song I can remember without wordplay was Airplanes pt. II.

Those lines honestly sound like something the punchline Em would say today...

I'm off my fucking rocker like your grandma tipping over
It's a shame he never used that line in a actual song, that shit's hilarious.

Have you listened to The Last Hit? Those lines are NOTHING like his current lines. Listen to the actual song...

I haven't, I'm just saying...that seems like something Em would say in one of his punchline songs these days. I like most of his punchlines/wordplay, so I don't really have a big problem with them. I do wish he'd switch up the content, though, I'm fairly sure he will after the punchlines start to bore him.

If 2011 Eminem said that line it would be wack, and people would complain.

But because it's "golden age" Eminem, people love it.

Doesn't that honestly sound like something 2011 Em would say? People would scream "wack!" if he did.

Eminem has ALWAYS used wordplay, now that I think about it.

Yeah, personally I like it. But if he's doing songs like Won't back down where it basically has ONLY those it doesn't come out to good.

I like Almost Famous though, a lot, and that had a couple of wordplays.
