Why is Encore The Most Hated Eminem Album??

ok, so i was wondering why everyone always hated Encore??? i think its pretty good like songs like "Mockingbird" & "Like Toy Soldiers". Rain man i always liked it cuz i thought it was pretty funny and the beat on Big Weenie killed it. Some songs like My 1st Single & Ass Like That werent good. im tired of everyone hating Encore (and Relapse and Recovery) cuz they are great albums anyways. Eminem had alots of things to do when Encore came out like D12 World, Cheers, Get Rich or Die Tryin. SO i cant realy blame him for ONE bad album. i always bump it out when im angry, depressed, ect. cuz it got a lot of emotion to it.

It was the album that killed our innocence.

It let us know that Em was fallible. That he could make music that wasn't amazing. Encore, in effect, killed the Eminem we all knew and loved up to that point.

Sure, there were songs that we liked on there. The videos were great, and it was okay for a day or two, for the real stans among us. Then it sank in...Eminem made an album that wasn't as good as his last one.

That was the consensus, even. It wasn't even a matter of debate. It was so ridiculous that some people thought it was a fake album when it leaked. Eminem fucked up.

It's ironic that some people thought it was because he was off of drugs. There had been an article before or shortly after it's release talking about how they didn't pop the "purple pills" anymore, and some fans thought that it was the only explanation: Eminem's sober, and he's making bad music.

It's both sad and hilarious that the opposite was true, in regards to the sobriety bit.

Lol what. Encore shouldn't be EMINEM's worst because OTHER ARTISTS have worse albums. That doesn't make sense. Encore can be his worst. Encore wasn't a good album. Most albums these days are MUCH better than Encore. It's not our fault you have a shitty sense of rap, and think most albums these days = Soulja Boy and Waka Flocka tapes.

The reason I think it was hated is because of The Eminem Show. From the first 3 albums you can't name a song that isn't good. And as Em said on CWYWF "Encore didn't have the caliber to match it" meaning since Eminem set the bar so high with his first three albums, it was too much for him to do it again. Still a good album with a lot of hits as said before (love Mockingbird, Like Toy Soldiers, etc) just overall couldn't compete with the other albums.

Also, don't think the skits are appreciated as much as they should. Very creative to track the gun throughout the album and then use it to kill all the fans and himself at the end.

The good songs on Encore are medium caliber Eminem songs. There are no GREAT songs, except for maybe the best two on the album.

The bad songs on the album are not only terrible, but they show no signs of trying. It's like Eminem said 'You know what, man, i'm gonna make a couple of songs that are total SHIT.' And oh, did I mention? Those songs take up half of the album. Great.
