Is it time for Slim to hang it up?

Postby Hopsinshadie » Jun 10th, '12, 12:18

He has rapped about everything that we care to hear. He can't just keep rapping about the same concept from different angles. He is already old, there is no denying that. So if he's still selling well now, then if he's rapping just to rap, then there is no reason why he can't rap another 5 or 10 years if that is the case since he's already old. I would either keep rapping until he's really really old or just stop altogether right now.

Well, he is still relatively healthy, I think I'd be worrying when he's around 45, that's usually when the body starts to give out.
Well, around 35 is where the signs of aging kick in on an noticeable level...

I dunno, It'd be nice to see a few more epic albums, I think that should do it.
Maybe a final song afterwards so he can go out with a bang.

He's got another great album in him.

And I agree, some sort of final song / sign-out / world tour to close things off.

And then he can retire to the Legends Lounge. Although I don't want this to ever happen.

Just thank fuck he hasn't ended his career prematurely through death / a Canibus style self-destruction.

Im hoping for two more albums... One more epic one and goodbye album gonna be interesting since most rappers die before they even retire and never get chance to do one.

do rappers or musicians in general ever retire? some say they are retiring, like Jay-Z, stay dormant for a couple years then get that itch again to rap. he wont ever retire, his whole life is music

It's funny how the topic 'Eminem is Back!' is right below the topic 'Is it time for Slim to hang it up?'.

He can rap about how badly Canibus choked against Dizaster yesterday. Shit was tragic, son.
"So one last time, I'm back, 'fore it fades into black and it's all over, behold the final chapter in the saga, trying to recapture that lightning trapped in a bottle twice, the magic that started it all...tragic portrait of an artist tortured....trapped in his own drawings..." - Bruce.

"He has rapped about everything that we care to hear" is a useless thing to say. You live in a great, big, vast world that you've seen none percent of. And even the inside of your own mind is endless. It goes on forever inwardly. Do you understand?

No. But I think he'll finish this album in the works, then a final album. Then I can see him sitting back and producing for other artists.
