The whole "re-up" theme

Am i the only one that detests the whole idea of a rapper that makes more than one classic album to have to make a "RE - UP " mixtape.. It just gives a feeling that it could really painfully backfire if it doesnt live up to the hype.

Dont get me wrong, i understand the idea, but wouldnt it be better to just work on a new solo album or even better: a colab album, or just a Shady mixtape not an "after retirement" typa mixtape.

really its not that at all , its not an after retirement mixtape or anything ..its hard to explain but thats just what people make it out to be..Em has said nothing on it its his fans that say all this and some reason make up things like that.....i understand what u mean i think the title just means hes done with his "break" and is going to start more solo work but i wouldnt know since its not out yet. or maybe he's just doing this to get hype in the streets that hes back and maybe make a new album but like i said i have no clue.

he probably will come out with a solo album but for right now he feels like doing a mixtape and if thats wut em wants then thats wut em is gonna do

actually HE HAS TO make at least one more album cause i remember awhile back reading on how Em signed a contract to do 5 solo albums not including curtain call.....so we can still expact at least one more..and as i was saying its the people who make the theme for the mixtape not em. cause its not even out yet and people just assume shit.

nah, i agree with eminemfan.

i mean... the re up is like em comin out of his little "slump". nothing more than that. ya know, this year for em seemed to be like a mark. he even said, it's the year that he just cracked.

so when i heard about this, i just thought... ya know, he's back on the grind and makin songs and all that. if he says it's the halfway part of his career, then so be it. maybe it is.

what is there to detest?

I mean the whole "im coming out the slump" thing might be a bad move... artists do that kind of stuff and very often it backfires. Im concerned....

But watever, as long its decent nothing bad can happen.

well usually he comes out of a slump by writing about it i mean look at all the shit he can write about now pills,rehab,proof passing away, divorcing kim ,etc. , etc. he has lots of serious shit to get off his chest which he does through music so i dont think it will back fire at all unless its the complete opposite and does more goofy ass songs.

Actually i change my opinion, i just read derty jason on d12world say that there is already a video ready for one of the songs, so im guessing this is gonna be more like an labum typa mixtape ...

i seriously doubt he'll make songs like that... i just hope his new material tops the stuff on encore.. then we'll know if hes back or not..

i read that the video is a proof dedication which will be interesting to see....its probably just em talkin about old times tho cause every interview about proof thats all he talks about is back in 95 if u read the xxl proof issue.

the way i see it ,, Eminem plans for the future

by checkin out how he came up on BET and the hype for the RE UP and shit

first he spread news about the RE UP which created hype then he comes up on BET and kicks ass on that stage
now the RE UP is gonna come, (i dont expect anything toppin The Eminem Show and shit) but it will be good , toppin Encore maybe,
and after that D12 album gon be the bomb , and after that Eminem with his solo album (which hope not! but mite be his last)

and ya know.... the whole curtain thing... when it's GREATEST HITS, it's not necessarily his best songs. cuz em even said, lots of his best stuff don't even release as singles. curtain call was just all the singles and all the radio hits, so i don't see why y'all treat it as if it truly were his best songs.

im not sure about if its an "album" but so far theres VERY little info. I doubt it will drop in the coming month if it is...

Maybe the Things need change video is just a street single 12" and the re-up is a mixtape.. dont know, some sites just keep writing "shady records album" on they sites :zipped:
