Why would there be some diss tracks and then Like Toy Soldiers in the end? Makes no sense lol

Cosign what PAINKILLƎR said. Dissing Ja on two separate tracks.....then justifying it at the end of the album? Original tracklist's fine as it is though I could still do without Just lose it and Ass like that.

What is this misconception that people have of Like Toy Soldiers?

The song is about Eminem addressing beef. It's not like he's surrendering and being a bitch on it. He's discussing how beef can escalate in hip-hop and his fear of the consequences. He isn't taking back anything he said.

It makes perfect sense at the end of the album because it's some what of a plot twist. The theme of Encore is for it to be a show, he's showing us everything he went through and the beefs he was involved in (the other Ja Rule disses on the album are Monkey See, Monkey Do and Bully, 2 diss records that are handled in a much more mature manner, which matches well with the mature approach he had on Like Toy Soldiers.

Like I said, that's the tracklisting I listen to, feel free to make your own :y:

Ok, so he goes on with this album with like 4 diss records and then in Like Toy Soldiers addresses how beef could get outta hand, and how he is willing to be a bigger man and let it go. But how can he do this when he just throw shots at his foe's? It defeats the whole purpose of Like Toy Soldiers imo.

We can either take Like Toy Soldiers off or the diss tracks off.

Minus the diss tracks (which he has never out on an LP before), this looks good.

Besides the diss tracks its just the same thing minus a bonus track which should have been on there but it leaked, and a D12 ft. Which was on another album

Leave Encore alone. Changing the track list makes no sense considering most of the songs are there for a reason, and putting songs like Stimulate on there would be really out of place.

I don't think that's better than Recovery at all.

The great tracks of Recovery are far more potent, and there's more of them.

Recovery has far greater heights, more highs and a consistent rap style throughout. He sounds about the same through every track, whether serious or not-so-serious, the rap style remains consistent. The only thing that isn't consistent is the production.

Encore's production, imagery and concept is more consistent, but the raps ain't.

I actually would've preferred if Encore had been like this. Would've been a lot better than what we ended up getting.
