His voice sounds off. I've been saying it for years, but he sounds too 'techy'
Perhaps its all the drugs he sniffed and now he has a nasaly voice more than before?
Because his voice is just....wrong. And it bothers me. I can't be the only one that hears it... Maybe not auto tune itself, but something unnatural??

I'm fairly certain that one of the Bass brothers said in an interview that they always used auto tune on the vocals, except for "Kim".

Yeah, Kid Rock used it (noticeably) on "Only God Knows Why" off of Devil Without A Cause, which came out in 1998.

There was an article of some engineer( i dont remember who it was) about the technical aspects of creating Recovery and he said that Em doesn't use auto-tune. I can be wrong though

Its one thing using it to perfect the voice a bit.
But to make it sound like T-pain, thats gay.
And keep in mind, Em is one of the few rappers that sound the same live as he does in the studio.

Also, I don't think it's an actual auto-tune Em uses; I think they layer and manually adjust, he can actually hold notes, but, I think they layer to cover cracks / one high, one low and the odd straightening out...

Probably a similar program, but the actual program with the name brand "Auto-Tune" came out in 1997.
