I guess there's a chance he just doesn't know much info about the album... it just seems stupid to do a bunch of concerts with songs from three years ago when he could use the opportunity to promote the new album.

It always meant that. Not once it meant that they would be performing side by side with Eminem, but just open the show for him.

Maybe he'll use the show to promote a new single. Hopefully at least the first single will be out by August. I've stopped waiting for news though. Too much waiting and anticipating can make you super critical when the album finally arrives and it'll feel anti-climatic.
