It's not a classic.

I think Em needed to make this album to get the fans and the media back on his side. He didn't wanna be just another rapper in the rap game, he wanted to be "the" rapper and he knew, he could't drop relapse 2, he had to do recovery.

Now, is recovery a bad album ? Hell no. It's definately a really good album. The only bad thing about the album is the production. IMO it didn't sound like an Eminem album when it comes to the production. But as far as lyrics, flow etc. go, it's almost as good as Relapse. The only thing that pisses me off, is that he was bashing relapse, but i guess on "the reunion" he kinda admits that he likes it, wich we knew even before that ...

To sum it up, no, Recovery is not bad, in fact, it is really good and better than everything that was released that year.

Not a classic and doesn't have the same feel as MMLP and TES but it is a fantastic album

wasn't really bad, wasn't fantastic either. it had its moments but overall it wasn't anything like the briliance i expect from Em. Was best rap album of 2010 cause of similarly mediocre offerings from Ross, Weezy and Drake

No, Recovery is an amazing album with so many crazy good songs in it. I mean really, compare tracks such as CWB, GTC, 25 To Life, Almost Famous to any other material that was released in '10..
It's not a classic album, and in my opinion can't quite match with Relapse brilliance but it's great no doubt.

It sucks.

I haven't even listened to it in months. He was trying a style that he can't do. The rhymes were forced, his voice wasn't pleasing to the ears, the beats were mediocre. He had features from shitty artists.

He should have taken another year after Relapse. The album felt forced and rushed. It's not good.

There were a few good songs on there. But over all, it was a let down. Especially compared to Relapse.

Not a classic but a very solid album... or more-so, a very solid collection of songs.

Most, yes MOST of the songs on 'Recovery' range from great-brilliant I think, and that is high-acclaim for any album; it lacks the cohesive feeling of a single album due to the production but Em's rap style is consistent throughout, as well as his tone etc. so it gives it a certain 'togetherness'

Overall a really decent effort. I still bump many 'Recovery' tracks regularly, and a few of them have instantly made my all-time favourite Em tracks already.

Not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. Yeah some puns were bad and the beats could have been better, but there are some genuinely genius and powerful moments on the album. Going Through Changes is one of the best, most honest introspective tracks he's done, up there with Cleaning Out My Closet.

I think the album did exactly what he intended--it got him back on top after the unfortunately lackluster response to Relapse.

I think what really gets to me is people saying how he sold out. Yeah, listen to CWB, Seduction, Almost Famous, Untitled and tell me the guy sold out.

Listen to my life. It's clear that he's starting to lean towards relapse more than recovery.
