As has been the case throughout Goodie Mob's career, the Atlanta-based quartet raps extensively about socital issues, racial dynamics and male-female relationships on its new album, which is due August 27. The up-tempo song "White Power" features Cee Lo reimagining the concept, something he said was "a black perspective on white power." During the Q&A session, Cee Lo said that Eminem almost appeared on track, but changed his mind. "I could've sworn Eminem would've done this song with me," said Cee Lo, who added that Eminem's "newly found Christianity" may have been the reason why he didn't appear on the song. "I thought he would eat the controversy up, but it was kind of hard for me to address it as a white rapper, me being black. But my black perspective on white power was my relationship with him."

He has often mentioned 'praying' and 'thank god' in passing but I always hoped he was using that in a colloquial semi-ironic 'I really want this' kind of way. I swear to God if he goes overboard on this album with this Christianity shite I might just have to find someone else to listen to.

To me or my standards about it Em's only aware of religion or affiliated to it kinda, not really religious to be honest.
From Catholics perspective he'd be probably the opposite of religious too.

I hope you are right. I thought he was religious in as much as he was self-centred enough to believe that there was somebody directly interested in his life and how he lived it but not convinced enough to act in the way the Bible (on the whole) recommends. Doing drugs and rapping about killing bitches probably isn't in the Bible, although there is a lot worse in it.

Hopefully he's using religion as a tool to feel better about the fact that his best friend died and he managed to quit drugs. It would be better if he had the self-confidence to realise that he overcame his addiction himself though, and not because of a magical man in the sky who would have obviously had to make him a drug addict in the first place.

He's surely sensible enough not to ruin his legacy by turning into a religio-bore.

If you believe in a personal god, you are religious.

People use the word 'religious' to refer to people who are actively involved in going to church and attempting to follow behavioral conduct from priests... but that's just how much you're involved, that's not what 'religious' means. If you believe in a god; you are, end of.

Anybody who prays is DEFINITELY religious, praying is a superstitious tradition attached to all major religions. And as for him being the opposite of religious Catholics... yeah I guess so, as he only pretends to rape and molest.
