Justin Timberlake & Eminem RiddlerCould there be a musical feud brewing? As previously reported on Comicbook.com, Justin Timberlake recently threw his name into the ring to wear The Riddler’s question-marked bowler in the upcoming Batman and Superman movie. “I’ll tell you the villain I want to play more than anything because I grew up loving Batman, funny enough, is the Riddler. The Riddler is my favorite villain,” said Timberlake.

But Timberlake is not the only musician who grew up loving Batman and dreaming of playing The Riddler. Back when Christopher Nolan was casting for The Dark Knight Rises, the National Enquirer reported that Eminem was interested in playing The Riddler. Eminem reportedly rapped to his reps, “When it comes to business, you know I ain’t no fiddler…You tell them Batman biggies, I wanna play ‘The Riddler!’”

While we normally wouldn’t read too much into a report like this from a couple years ago, it was recently announced that Batman Vs. Superman will be shooting in Eminem’s hometown of Detroit. When asked about the possibility of Eminem talking a role in the movie, his manager Paul Rosenberg made a rather interesting comment to the Detroit Free Press.

“There’s no Eminem in the Man of Steel 2 movie that I’m aware of, although I’ve always thought he’d be a perfect Riddler,” said Rosenberg. Rosenberg also reveals that Eminem is a huge old-school comic book fan, and he often references superheroes in his music.

While Eminem’s manager might say he’s not aware of Eminem being in the Man Of Steel 2 now, what happens when Eminem finds out that a former boy bander has his eyes on Eminem’s coveted Riddler role? Which is going to be filmed right in Eminem’s backyard none the less. This can only be settled by some type of rap battle or dance-off.

Em's not a generation defining actor, no...but he knows how to get into character roles and he's a meticulous studier. Don't you remember all his behind-the-scenes video shit back in the day? Dre would be like, "It's hard to get him out of character" and then you hear a big bang in the background (lmao).

I dunno, big shot films like TDKR, it doesn't sound like Em would do such a great job in it. Maybe mediocre at best, but I think he should just stick to the music industry and do his things there (music videos and such, which he's good at).

I'm saying we don't know if he would do a good job, and I'm doubting he could. The only big film we actually saw him was on 8 mile. His acting skills besides the rap scene were meh at best.

If anyones ever seen the wash, they know hes good at being crazy. I think he could pull it off, and with his own style too. A while back, he was rumored to be playing in a boxing movie similar to "Cinderella Man".

Before it was revealed that Bane would be the villain in TDKR, I wanted Johnny Depp to play the Riddler. I also think Neil Patrick Harris could fit the role.

I'm a HUGE Batman fan and probably an ever bigger Eminem fan, but idk how I'd feel about this. I'd obviously be excited, but as of now with his only lead role coming in 8 Mile, and him doing a fantastic job I want Em's next role to be something he can really knock out of the park too. Obviously his inspiration for the role was easy to find since he lived it, but I thought his acting was very good. Elysium would have been a good role for him, IMO.

I believe Em puts out one last album after MMLP2 but after that I'd love to see him shift his focus to acting!
