I think so.
What he went through with drugs was horrible and undoubtedly there are still a lot of demons he still deals with on a day-to-day basis, but (as more and more people are realizing) marijuana isn't harmful and in fact is beneficial for a plethora of mental health issues including PTSD and helping deal with withdrawal symptoms from hard drugs, not to mention marijuana's overall benefit to mankind.
On Old Time Sake from Relapse, the song is essentially about Eminem getting high again, but from contact buzz since Dre smokes so much and his conscious is clear since he's not actually smoking.
On Recovery tho, he says "Im fired up so fire up the lighter and the dro" on "On Fire," and most recently on Berzerk he says "As far as hard drugs are tho thats the past." Marijuana isn't a hard drug.
Kid Cudi went though something similar, got too mixed up in hard drugs after being successful sticking to weed and alcohol with some psychedelics mixed in, went completely sober for a time period, then came back to weed when he realized the hard drugs are what held him back, not marijuana. So what do you guys think? Are we back to 2001 with Slim blew out from a blunt??
