We just witnessed history with MMLP2.

I'm speaking in terms of overall hip-hop. I understand some nostalgic Stans expected him to stay the same but this album really pushed the envelop.

Thoughts?

It's really good, surprisingly so. I dunno if it's great / classic , I have to let it sink in. It's better then relapse / encore , probably Recovery (though that album hit me more on a personal level).

Remember fellow stans we said the same thing about Recovery, so lets wait a couple months before we jump the gun calling it a classic.

Well most of us here at the time were calling it the modern Eminem Show.

I love Recovery, but MMLP2 kills it. It's on a different level musically.

I mean, "Cold Wind Blows" vs. "Bad Guy"? ---- "Never Over" vs. "Evil Twin"?

MMLP2 is in his top 3. Classic.

Agreed. MMLP2 > Recovery but I love recovery too and I think it was necessary. He was going through that particular phase in his life and there's nothing we could've done about that. The only thing we could have done was just not listen. He had to do him. There are a few gems on that album. His No Love verse is fucktastic

Oh well it depends, perso Ive always liked 'Cold Wind Blows' I was surprised so many people hate on Recovery cause its a great album, people are never satisfied imo. I like MMLP 2 so far but its too early to judge it ! The album is good but I think people go crazy thinking it deserve its place right next to Eminem Show and MMLP. That ''Bad Guy'' track is cool but I think people overate it a bit. As much as im happy with the album in general I would be hypocrit to say im not disapointed a little bit, I find he forces his flow too much and sounds kinda off beat sometimes..I dont know.. but yup really good album overall !

oh and yezz1r I respect ur opinion but in no way MMLP2 is top3 lol

SSLP has classic Eminem material... tracks like ''Rock Bottom'' and ''Role Model'' ''Still Dont Give A Fuck'' for example....you cant find this kind of shit on MMLP2 and Eminem was too dope back then, even Infinite was so lyrical.

SSLP, MMLP, EMSHOW > MMLP2
