His Most Quotable Album?

Postby VINTAGƎ » Nov 6th, '13, 06:17

This is purely based on lines that made you laugh out loud or shake your head and grin. Not production, not flow, just one or two clever lines that made you :flutter:

I used to think it was Slim Shady, but am I wrong for thinking this one is up there? I'm trying to figure out if it's the newness factor coupled with stanery or if this dude really put out some clever shit.

The Wicked Ways second verse and all of Evil Twin alone are packed with these kinds of lines. It seems every day I find a new line or two. Obviously since he's rapping fast on a lot of these records they're harder to pick up, but damn, when you read those lyrics, this shit is packed with crazy shit.

So many quotables on MMLP.

Trapped in his own drawings

But in my head there’s a voice in the back and it hollas
After the track is demolished
I am your lack of a conscience

I’m your time that’s almost up that you haven’t acknowledged
Grab for some water but I’m that pill that’s too jagged to swallow

Lol @ MMLP2 getting so many votes due it being new.

MMLP1 is easily his most quotable album.

"double xl, double xl!"

"I'm the bad guy, who makes fun of people that die!"

"I said shut-up when I'm talking to you, you hear me? answer me!"

Almost every line is a genius lyric quotable/funny as fuck/politically brilliant.

I don't know, this one has some stuff man. I will say I think albums like SSLP and MMLP had more balance in terms of spreading of lines. You could find one or two gems, or more, on every track.

MMLP2 has songs like STIW and Headlights that don't have much to offer in the way of lines that make you jaw drop and/or laugh out loud, but songs like Groundhog's Day, Evil Twin, Wicked Ways, etc are so packed with lines, I'm still combing through them to see what I missed.

Like with Wicked Ways, maybe you disagree but "make you wish the ambulance that took me to the hospital when I overdosed would have caught a flat," is such an ill line. Given how serious and honest he's been about his near death at the hands of addiction to say rappers probably wish he was dead was so boss. And then to follow it up with "if it feels like I'm running away with the game, it's cause I am, don't speculate, spectate," I thought that was another crazy line. Not to mention about 90% of the shit he says on Evil Twin alone.

Bad Guy has "here's the sequel to my Mathers LP just to get people to buy" which is brilliant.
