Which track do you think represents MMLP2 the most?

Postby eminembound » Nov 6th, '13, 11:52

I was reading someone's review of MMLP2 and he/she thinks MMLP2 doesn't have that one track that can represent the whole album well. And I didn't know what to think. I don't know what song will I choose when someone asks me to pick just one song that has the core message of the album so they can understand his motive for this album. So I wanted to hear what you guys think.
What song would you choose?

"Rhyme or Reason".

But yeah, MMLP2 doesn't have an identity; it's a collection of great Eminem tracks, not a unified album of brilliance or a cohesive artistic vision like the first.

It's just some great Eminem songs.

If I had to pick one I'd say "Rap God" or "Rhyme or Reason".

"Rap God" does actually feel worthy of the MMLP moniker, no doubt in partial due to the Columbine reference but just in how self-referencial and mocking the track is 'it's not, hip hop, it's pop!" - that's totally MMLP-esque and it feels like Eminem 2.0.

Eminem should have used Rap God style for the whole album

Stop double posting you cunt.

And Rap God isn't in many people's top 5 (including me), don't let me quote your post about Rap God ending Em's career based on a snippet. You're a pathetic excuse of a human being and I hope to god Em drops another Encore just to get you to stop listening to him.

What? RG was the illest song on MMLP2, no contest. R U serious?

I'm just not a follower. I don't force myself to like it. The song that represents this album is Monster.

Groundhog Day or Love Game. Those are the first two songs I show my friends.

I actually agree yo. The shit sounds like MMLP 2.0

Album coulda been like a modern rap trance with unbelievably witty lyrics flying at you from every angle... and that style... carried throughout could have rivaled the intensity of the first. But with so much diversity and no real identity... it's just a collection of songs.

Rap God is one of the worst ***SONGS*** on MMLP2 to be honest.. The first verse describes it perfectly..
"You don't wanna get into a pissing match with that wappity wap fap fap wap rap rap backpack crap lack mack"
It's just a show of talent, that's it.

Evil Twin, Legacy, RoR, Bad Guy..

I don't even like MMLP2 as much as some of you groupies but the album does have a theme.. he just loosely sticks to it.. if it were any ONE track.. it's Bad Guy.. final verse at bare minimum..

Bad Guy for me, represents the past and future of Eminem, bringing back the old "Stan" from MMLP with a new twist, also shows what to excpect for the rest of the album!

^ Faggot.
Anyway, Legacy captures the whole...reflective vibe, the looking on the past with wiser/more mature eyes that MMLP 2 is about.
So Legacy for me.
