It's true, guise. After a lot of soul-searching yesternight, the scales fell from my eyes.
Y'all know that I have been a huge fan of the MMLP2 since it came out 4 looooong days ago but after a lot of soul-searching, I think now that the MMLP2 is no classic like I had earlier claimed.
The MMLP2 subject matter just doesn't appeal to me, I mean, apart from
- Finally coming out in the open and laying out from subtext the symbollism of Stan
- Outright stating a claim on the rap throne/pantheon after about 15+ years.
- Reflecting on the legacy he'll leave behind after he quits
- Coming to terms with his fame affecting his life
- Apologising to his mom
- Acknowledging the apparent hypocrisy in his misogyny and, you know
- Generally rapping his arse off,
like, aside from those he wasn't really saying anything of note.
And what's up with that choppy flow, it's tuuuuuuuuuuuurible, give me the overdone accents and the screaming anytime.
Also, the puns, oh Gawd the awful puns, like, the first time I listened to Bad Guy, the "I peaked" line SHATTERED my immersion, I couldn't even get past it, it was such a tuuuuuurible pun, like, who the fuck does that?
Also, the other 2 or 3 puns scattered throughout the C.D that are just sooo turrible and too numerous to count that I had to listen to Encore to cleanse myself.
Ass Like That has no terrible puns or choppy flow and thus is a muuuch better song.
..........
Oh also, since this is TRshady where opinions change everytime the wind blows, my post only means Encore >> at precisely 14:03 p.m, my opinion will probably change at 14:04 or when Embase posts a RelapseGOAT thread.
'Till then, Encore GOAT.
