yup, plus it's not like nobody knows he's working on a new album... everybody's been talking about it "unofficially". they're just gonna announce it officially a few days before the single gets released... I checked on google and Encore was announced on Aug. 30th and the single leaked a few days later, and the video came out in the end of september

people with, achknowledged fan bases dont need huge build ups (jay-z, nas, eminem, dre,) there gets to a point these guys decide when the confirm there albums, nas nearly does an album a year and he is the first to speak off it, he basically tells the label when itll be started, finished ect. other artists are getting told by the record label "you need to do an album this year or your dropped" , on the later the label will confirm the album and then the artists works his ass off with promotion and leaked tracks singles ect. to get a big buzz and get the album finished (like the game) , btu usually label side of it is disguised by the artist breaking the news of the new album but 9 out of ten the label gave them a kick up the arse to do it. on both cases though there is push backs and stuff thats just life, but thats basically the 2 scenarios you have. dont anyone say about dre huge build up the album coz thats his decision not the labels and he is high enough to say fuck you if the label tried to rush him.

anywae to get to my point, eminem is in the jay-z level were he could without the label knowing, do a complete album have everything finished and then one day give it to his manager and say "thats ready for release" 3 weeks later we got the album.....it can be that simple. the label know he doesnt need to create buzz, they know by telling people like obie to say he is working on an album will create buzz without eminem actually needing to get disturbed, they know that eminem will do the hit single and they know he will sell...so they dont need to get on his back they dont need to be like "we need 3 singles released now of the album is pushed back" or "release another single your last one didnt top the charts" then the artist records a new single, eminem doesnt need to do that.



hence why the label would allow eminem to release a single and album within 3 weeks, generating pure buzz just from speculations...its actually a genious promotion plan coz think how shits up this place and everywere else would go if eminem dropped a dope single and on the same day an album was confirmed for 3 weeks from now ? the place would probly crash from so much activity the buzz would be fucking huge

and i think the new album will be ace i have a lot of faith in em. after all hes been through he must have some serious shit to write about. hes matured a lot too. itll be nothing like encore or any of his other albums. i dont really think hes goin back to any old styles cause hes a lot more mature so im expecting a grown-up, wise eminem dropping seriously ill and deep lines

damn that's one smart thing to do. cause game's situation was like he created a buzz to early imo, made the fans think to much with his singles. made people make up there mind whether they should get it or not. but what you said actually happens than that won't leave any time for any fan to even think about whether there gonna cop the album or not. em drops a single and its a straight hell fucking yeah im getting the album, even if the single was shit. his last album was 4 years ago so no em fan would even think about not getting that album, we've waited enough so its a guarantee must get.
