Eminem's '8 Mile' Coming to Blu-ray

Universal has announced it is bringing Eminem's motion picture debut '8 Mile' to Blu-ray this Fall.

Marking the rapper's first appearance on high-def, the $125 million-grossing drama will hit Blu-ray on November 18. (Universal previously released the title on DVD in 2002.)

Tech specs will see a BD-25 single-layer presentation with 1080p video and English DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 Surround. Optional French and Spanish DTS 5.1 Surround tracks are also included, along with English, French and Spanish subtitles.

Extras are slim, with the "Making of 8 Mile" featurette, uncensored "Rap Battles," and a music video.

Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $29.98.

Scheduled to realease on November 18.

The only reason for changing a film to Blu-Ray is if it will make a substantial difference to the quality

It's not like 8 Mile is full of explosions and epic scenes that you couldn't quite make out completely on DVD.

i didn't really like 8 mile...
so I will not be purchasing this.
