After 4 years Do You think Encore was under appreciated?

I mean, at first I admit I was so dissapointed. But now when I look back most of the songs I still listen to are on Encore album. I mean, yah it's a different album but I think once you got used to it, you get it stuck more in your head. Was the album that bad? or was it just we expected him to do shadly lp style? I mean, most of the songs on Encore are not bad! **Look at evil deeds! That song is hella sick! head popped off, head popped off! **MOcking bird was good ***Encore was a great song ***Just Lose it was good **Yellow brick road is tight ** Toy soldier is sick ***Ass like that is funny
I mean was the album that bad? After 4 years, I like the album and think that is under appreciated. How could you not like Evil deeds? The beat is better than stuff like Criminal or stan in my opinion. the album is just DIFFERENT. Still pretty sick though.

After 4 years, I look at Encore the same.

I know Eminem did not try on about half the songs, which bugs the fuck out of me. I still think it has recieved a bad response mostly because SSLP, MMLP, TES were so good.

I agree, I think Encore is a sick album and it's just different from the previous material. But yeah, maybe too many funny songs that went about nothing, I still like them though

well i don’t agree with you all ,.. You’re just saying bluh bluh .. well dont compare encore to his first albums .. cuz each one have it's own style and own time , cuz when time passes things that were Eminem raped about have changed or it's not existing right know . what you're expecting him to rap about in encore .. he have already talked about his life , mom , his beefs , his doughier relationship , and violence etc.. so he already talked about many things he cant rap about same subjects. he have to come up wit a new style .. Anyway talking about encore songs ,,for me i found them all hot . all of them lyrically dope for instance mockingbird , when i'm gone , evil deeds , ass like that , just lose it , mosh , puke ,, etc most of them are dope .. so stop comparing peaple look at encore as his only album or first album he had produced and u will lve it u got my promise .. .. one more thing i know that most of u like encore album but wont admit it .. why idont know why

yah z em brings up a good point. At the time, encore was not good. but after a few years, I look back and I realized it's not half bad. It's just at the time we expected something different. but now that times changed, I realized that if you don't compare it to his first album it's a pretty decent album. Just a different style. Encore is a good album to listen to if you are not in the greatest mood. Lots of eery songs, you know what i mean? the thing that i like about encore, a lot of songs in his first few albums are hot at first but then get old fast like white america or superman. but with encore, it's not as hot first, but i never seem to get tired of it. does anyone feel the same? Also with Relapse, he won't get as bad as a wrap with encore because people are not expecting him to be like shady lp as much. now people are starting to catch on to his other styles. but i do hope that this one is better than encore and has a couple of great hits. I mean REALLY great, not just like ass like that or just lose it, something like a my name is or lose yourself.

When Im Gone wasn't on Encore. I'm pretty sure that was on his Greatest Hits.

Encore was never a shit album. It was never whack. It was whack for Eminem. You can't look at the album as JUST THAT ALBUM because it's not JUST THAT ALBUM. It's an addition to his collection. If you look at it compared to other albums that year, it was an above average album with below average effort. Especially when other rappers were dropping some serious heat. Lil Wayne came with Tha Carter, Jay was still riding the success of The Black Album, Kanye West dropped The College Dropout which was another huge success. When you compare Encore to the music that was being released at the time it was decent, but it wasn't a CLASSIC. I mean Eminem had 3 consecutive CLASSICS and then Encore. And he dropped the ball in a time when competition was thick and brutal. It was a decent album then, it's a decent album now, and it'll be a decent album when we're all dead and gone.

and no it wast under apprciated, im not saying i dont listen to songs form it, i do, but i also listen to alot of shit music that i just enjoy coz of refferences or coz i relate.


its not a good eminem album, his rhymes were very below par, and his concept choice was awful

About Encore, once and for all
:This is a pretty good album even with "ass like that" being the annoying song that it is.But I dont see how the reviewer heard this and thought that he was going back to his slim shady antics the slim shady songs are incredibally crazy and outthere, these are just not as good but its a nice album especially in the current market he has some good songs on here like "evil deeds",never enough,mosh,toy soldiers,yellow brick road,and a few others its a good album but far from any of his others in any way it isnt lyrical like "infinite" deep as the eminem show,dark as the marshell mathers lp,or cartoonishly violent like his somewhat violently comical classic the slim shady lp but its a solid effort
