will Eminems style change with modern day music?

Postby SacJB Shady » Nov 22nd, '08, 06:16

What I mean is since Modern day music sounds different than before and all, do you think Eminem will do his own thing or do you think he will try to sound like everyone else just like everyone else does? I mean let's face it. Everyone sounds the same these days. Or is it possible that people will follow Eminem's style?

Well at the beginning part of his career, he wasn't one to follow trends. But as of late, he's been doing a lot of club songs, so I'm not sure. We'll have to wait to first single.

I just wish he doesn't use the autotune.

Good topic

I'm sure his style will change to some extent. I mean it has to. He can't go to back to SSLP and MMLP because that's played. He could go back to like The Eminem Show cuz that was pretty much just raw with a little more mainstream vibe to it. Encore just didn't work for him, and with the exception of When I'm Gone the singles he released for Curtain Call were NOT Eminem (I don't care what anyone says). I'm hoping that he doesn't go 100% mainstream. I'd really like to see him channel his trials and tribulations into his music to get back to the raw form he was in with TES. That's our best case. Worst case is he let Lil Wayne write all his shit and uses the auto tune shit, but that just won't happen.

i'd actually like to hear eminem use a little bit of autotune, not on a club song, but a more emotional, down-to-eart type of song. he sang well on hailie's song, so i think it might turn out good.

i really dont think he'll follow any trends. the trend in hip hop now is to sell ringtones. i dont think that's what he's gonna be aiming for.

i have a feeling we'll see a much deeper, much more emotional and mature album. i hope so anyway.

Great point. I'm hoping for the same. I don't think he'll have a choice to be deeper. I mean in his book he was talkin about how he couldn't get out of bed because of Proof's death and shit. I mean this CD is probably going to be depressing as shit, but I think it might be some of his best work. Well... I'm hoping lol.

FYI nearly ALL singers use some type of autotune software to smooth out their voices.

t-pain took it to the extreme and started a trend

:y:

but Em wo't use it cos he says in the Radio 1 interview he doesn't like most rap nowadays so it'd be hypocritical of him to be doing all club songs

Yah. It would not be a good thing if Eminem stooped down to their level.
