IF Relapse is dope, can Eminem be compared to PAC?

Postby SacJB Shady » Nov 27th, '08, 06:30

Let's say Relapse blows everybody away! like it's the best ever. Do you think Eminem can ever be considered someone compared in talent to someone like Pac?

Stupid? Well, this is a biased forum. But all I can say is that most people will say you can' t compare anyone to 2pac or Dre dog aka andre nikotina. And please tell me you who THAT is.

You're obviously on smack. Eminem isn't far superior to any of the rap legends. He's on their level, better than some even, but don't talk like Pac was whack and Eminem is the god of rap because he wasn't and he's not.

Anyways, Em already is compared to Pac even though they're two completely different styles.

here's a question for ya'll to ponder... how can you compare eminem to pac? well the answer is you can't. nor can you comapire him to biggie, jam master jay, or any of the past greats. consider for a moment the time frame where these artists were in their prime. it has changed a hell of a lot of the course of the years. hell i remember listening to "the fat boys" back in the day, lol. jay-z, nas, rakim...all of em have their own unique style that their fan base enjoys. just like pack, biggie and jam master jay b4 they died. it's like tryin to compaire apples to oranges, u just can't. Em has a strong legacy, just like the other greats. let's just see how far it takes him.

Why is that?

I'm not sayong Em was more talented than Tupac (that could have various meanings)...But Eminem, in his prime certainly was better. Pac struggled to rhyme multi-syllabically consistently...Eminem did it with ease at his peak, while also sharing the ability to write message-oriented songs.

I'll tell you why it warrants a facepalm.

Because it's 100% pure Stanism. If he gave any reasons for his opinion, like you have, it'd be worthy of response, but here it's just fucking stupidity.

Why the fuck cant you compare apples and oranges

"Apples are good", "No, oranges are better".

There. Compared. Prove me wrong motherfucker :flower:

Evan C, your saying they cant be compared, Eminem owned Tupac in multi syllable rhyming for example. Well, there you just compared the two, saying that Eminem is better with multies.

before i even write my OPINION, im going to state that most likely this board is more biased towards eminem. (it is an eminem board)

everyone are going to compare eminem and pac in different ways. everyone has their own opinion and is entitled to it, no matter how much you agree or disagree with it. do i like tupac? meh, i dont bump it but i can not deny his talent and the impact he had on people. people mentioning multi syllable rhyming in this thread is just foolish. using multi's does not make you better. it also matters about the message you deliver, and then the others (delivery, lyrics etc..) look on other message boards, they say eminem sucks and he only get recognition because he is white. i laugh when i see that. does he got more recognition because he is white? yes. obviously. in my eyes i do think eminem is by far better than tupac, but by putting out songs that are irrelavant or just plain dumb (fack etc) it tarnishes his legacy. but in his defense tupacs image is bigger because he is dead. when he was live he wasnt barely a multi platnum artist. it is harder to compare eminem to past artist (rakim etc) because most of us wasnt even around, well not old enough. (thats not true for everyone) you also had to be there to feel the impact. eminem did change hip hop and bring a breath of fresh air into it, he spiced it up. tupac did in a way with his 'beefs'

but i will wrap this up, and reply back if someone wants to reply to this (maturely, and im not trying to start an argument here, just my opinion - and some facts obviously in there) pac and em are great in their own ways.
