I don't even think the Billboard Hot 100 reflect the most popular songs out anyway. If it was just based on radio play, it'd be different, 'cause people actually call in and request songs on stations. But with iTunes, a lot of the sales are just based on people casually looking at the home page and buying songs just out ot curiousity. That's why American Idol singers always debut at #1 on the chart (and that was practically impossible for any artist to do back in the day) all the time 'cause people have no problem spending $1 to see how a song sounds like. Em's been gone for almost 5 years. I can imagine people buying his song purely out of curiousity. It doesn't necessarily mean they like the song or it's going to be as popular as Lose Yourself or anything like that.

That is true, if it is played at its current amount on the radio, it will be number 40 on hot 100 airplay next week. Combined with sales, its very likely to be number 1 on Hot 100.
This is no where near the feat that Lose Yourself was.
